For this Second Edition of The Claim, our pioneering distiller Rita Hansen pulled from these special stocks to create a magnificent blend of the rarest and most unique California Brandies.

TASTING NOTES

The Second Edition of The Claim has a lush aroma of plum and cherry, with notes of dried fruit leather, apple, brown spice, and toasted oak. The deep red fruit flavors carry over to the palate, complemented by layers of dried fig, apple pie, and baking spice. The long finish is rich and elegant, with seamlessly integrated fruit and oak.

At Amador Whiskey Company, we partner with the finest distillers to create small batch, luxury whiskies. Amador Double Barrel is a classic low rye bourbon aged in new charred American oak barrels for 3 years, which creates flavors of vanilla, black cherry, caramel. It is then finished in former medium toast French Oak Cabernet barrels for 9–12 months, which provides additional vanilla notes and a smooth mouthfeel. The “Double Barrel” aging technique creates characteristics from the individual barrels that are then blended together to make an exceptional tasting Bourbon, far greater than the sum of its parts.

TASTING NOTES

Deep copper brown color with red hue from Cabernet wine barrels. Flavors of vanilla and toast lead the way, then a crescendo of caramel, crème brûlée, and spice take over and linger in its long finish. Rich, complex, and layered.

Distilled at the Ardnamurchan Distillery nestled in Glenbeg, Scotland's Western Highlands, Ardnamurchan Highland Scotch embodies a unique blend of 50% peated and 50% unpeated malted barley, meticulously crafted within copper pot stills. Aged in a marriage of ex-bourbon (65%) and ex-sherry (35%) casks without a specified age, this whisky reveals an enticing nose of nutmeg, toffee apple, Seville oranges, and hints of driftwood. On the palate, vibrant notes of grapefruit marmalade and flamed orange peel intertwine with sweet soy sauce and ripe peach, culminating in a finish boasting warming Sichuan peppercorn and campfire smoke. With no added coloring, this non-chill filtered expression maintains a robust 46.8% ABV, subject to slight variations across batches. Distilled within one of Scotland's eco-conscious distilleries, each bottle features a blockchain-enabled QR code, offering a comprehensive journey through the whisky's origins, from grain to bottle.

Maker Notes

This limited bottling of rum we blend and age in house, designed specifcally to infuence the barrels used in our Solera system. Our ex-bourbon casks are filled with this rum to impart its characteristics into the oak then emptied out. The now rum soaked barrels are used in producing our awarded Doc Swinson’s Alter Ego Solera Method Rye Whiskey. When explaining how we make our own blend of rums for the solera system we kept getting asked; “but where does the rum go?” So here it is! A limited offering for 2022.

Sensory Notes: A unique rum with expressive notes of citrus and holiday spice cake, silky with a punch straight or bold enough for a solid rum drink

Nose: Pineapple, apricot, whipped honey butter, tropical fruits and toasted oak

The annual return of the Blue Corn Bourbon unveils a 4-year expression, boasting a potent 60.8% ABV and a finishing touch in Washington Cabernet and California Grenache puncheons. Its vibrant rustic scent evokes images of an oiled leather sofa, antique china cabinet, and candied pecans, accented by hints of black cherry ice cream and strawberry jam on scones, culminating in the aroma of cola adorned with orange peel.

LIMITED EDITION NAPA VALLEY RED WINE CASK 18 YEAR OLD

The 2023 release in this collection is rich and decadent and has a softening of the spice notes. The finishing in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks bestows seductive qualities elevating Aberfeldy’s signature smoothness.

CASK TYPE

18 years in a combination of re-f ill and hogshead casks, the whisky was then finished for a period of around 15 months in Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks sourced from the Napa Valley, California USA.

Bottled at 43%, the Arran Barrel Reserve emphasises the delicious, sweet fruit notes which are the hallmark of our distillery. A fantastic discovery!

The brand new Arran Barrel Reserve is a fresh, light and elegant no-age-statement Single Malt Single Barrel Scotch Whisky. It is 100% matured in Bourbon Barrels and is going to become your go-to dram for every occasion - to be served neat, with ice or in a longer drink or cocktail.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Delicate apples and pears

Palate: Beautifully balanced citrus fruit and light vanilla sweetness with a burst of apple and delicate marine notes.

Finish: Sweetness, Spice, Charred Oak, Citrus, Vanilla.

This Cabernet has an herbal and floral nose, complemented by aromas of black cherry. The flavors are layered with tones of dried cherries, pomegranate and cocoa. The texture is rustic, yet silky, with a unique savory and long finish.

With the release of our 2021 vintage, our winemaker has ensured that our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has the layers, complexity, and energy seen in our signature mountain-inspired style. We include fruit from our Mount Veeder estate vineyards in the final blend to add complexity, character, and to ensure that our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is imbued with the style and character of the wines from our mountain estate.

Aging 18 months in new French oak (54%) and American oak (23%) and used oak (21%)

TASTING NOTES

Expressive on the nose with notes of baking spices, cedar, fig, and black cherry. Notes of brooding red fruit flood the palate—the wine is soft yet structured on the palate, with plush tannins, moderate acidity, and a long finish that lingers with notes of black tea and bramble.
