Inspired by the farmers' markets in Marin County, California, Allison Evanow set out to create a new vodka from scratch, or rather, square one. Evanow had previously been Head of Marketing at a Napa Valley winery, and then became a brand ambassador at Jose Cuervo, which rekindled her love of spirits and mixology. How you make the spirit itself How you create a cocktail using your spirit of choice How do you serve the cocktail How fun is that" Square One Basil Vodka is made by infusing Square One Organic Vodka with the essence of four organic varieties of basil: Genovese, Thai, Lemon, and Sweet, together with a touch of coriander, honeysuckle and lemongrass. The vodka has the sweet and spicy flavors of basil, along with hints of lemongrass, pepper and leafy herbs. The finish is slightly warming and incredibly well-balanced. Don't be a square.

After serving in World War II as a Radar Bombardier, Elmer T. Lee returned to his home in Kentucky and earned his engineering degree from the University of Kentucky.  He joined the distillery in the late 1940’s as a maintenance engineer.  He first interviewed with Colonel Blanton who famously rejected him by saying, “Son, we’re not hiring any hands today”. Fortunately, Colonel Blanton changed his mind and Elmer T. Lee started working the following week.

His genius for bourbon production propelled his rise from Maintenance Engineer to Plant Engineer, where he was eventually promoted to Plant Superintendent.  From there he earned the shared title of Plant Manager and Master Distiller where he oversaw much of the distillery’s modernization and growth until he retired in 1985.  

After retiring Mr. Lee served as Master Distiller Emeritus and Ambassador for Buffalo Trace Distillery. He was inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2002 he received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Whisky Advocate, and again from Whisky Magazine in 2012. In 2013 Elmer passed away, leaving behind a prolific legacy of creativity and exploration that helped shape the Bourbon Industry into what it is today.

St Kevin of Glendalough

The story of St Kevin is where we draw our inspiration. He abandoned safety and comfort to follow his passion and create something more meaningful in the mountains. Born of Irish royalty but a man apart, St Kevin disappeared into the mountains and became one with the wild. For 7 years he lived off the land by the upper lake of Glendalough and pondered his place in the world. He would stand and pray, arms outstretched and often up to his waist in the lake, just to add to the challenge. He did this so often and for so long, that one fateful day a blackbird landed in his hand.
He was so at one with nature, she felt safe enough to lay her eggs. This he took as a sign, as a test of his resolve. So he stood day and night until the eggs hatched and the chicks fledged.

One of many stories that spread around Ireland and inspired people to seek out this holy man and his deep, hidden valley. He eventually built his "City of 7 Churches" by the lower lake that still stands 14 centuries later.

Glendalough's Mizunara

Glendalough's Mizunara 7-year single malt is vivid, but delicate with seamless depth. It is vibrant, fruity, and floral on the nose, enjoying a luxuriously smooth mouthfeel with notes of dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon synonymous with Mizunara whiskeys. This unique whiskey benefits from an exceptionally long finish of toasted oak and oriental spices, with the dark chocolate lingering even longer.

The Eden Mill Heritage Gin Collection pays tribute to the timeless flavors of classic gin. Our Golf Gin is crafted with lavender, heather and seaweed, all ingredients commonly found around the coastal courses of Scotland.

Eden Mill from St. Andrews presents: Golf Gin. A botanically rich spirit with a slightly saline base which is made using kombu seaweed sourced in Fife. It also incorporates other ingredients inspired by the those flavors that can be found around coastal golf courses in Scotland, such as Lavender and Pine.

Nose: Hints of juniper in a forest of lavender and spruce trees with a subtle underlying salty tang

Taste: The juniper dominates as it should but is balanced out with a sweetness from the gorse. The heather and lavender add a floral note while the spruce and coriander provide a distinct peppery finish.

Finish: Crisp and fresh

Our Blanco has a smooth, crisp and earthy taste that emulates the pure agave plant. There are absolutely no additives used in our production. How is it made? A team of skilled artisans in Mexico who grow the agave the right way, sustainable and organic, and then craft the spirit using traditional techniques. After harvest, the agave is slow roasted in a clay oven, shredded on a roller mill, fermented with a wild natural open air process, distilled twice with well water in stainless steel tanks and copper tanks.

This carefully monitored process results in a clean and flavorful tasting ultra-premium Blanco tequila. Taste layers of flavor from the agave plant; citrus on the front end and vanilla custard creaminess on the back end. Awarded 94 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Every now and then, Garrison Brothers releases one of the most highly-coveted bourbon whiskies in America: Cowboy Bourbon. Glenallachie is situated in Banffshire, at the foot of Ben Rinnes, neighboring several other distilleries. Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson Ltd Glenallachie is one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland. In 1989 Campbell Distillers acquired The GlenAllachie Distillery, starting production run that lasted for nearly 30 years. In 2017 Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson came together to acquire the GlenAllachie facility reincarnating the distillery as The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited. The highly anticipated core range of the GlenAllachie distillery from Speyside was finally launched in July 2018. The water for the distillery comes from the dam heads over 2 miles from the distillery. Henshead and Blackstank flow into Beachshach Burn, which supplies the water directly to the distillery, and sits on the North East of BenRinnes. The distillery was designed to be gravity fed, created with horizontal condensers that maintain a consistent temperature, or increase/decrease to alter the character of the spirit. Using a vast amount of aged stock that was obtained along with the distillery, dating back as far as the 1970's GlenAllachie Master Distiller Billy Walker has masterfully created a signature single malt. After sampling this vast range of casks, Billy was keen to showcase GlenAllachie bottled at natural strength. This GlenAllachie 10-year-old Cask Strength Batch 2 is a limited edition drawn from a variety of casks, including first-fill bourbon, virgin oak, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximnez sherry casks.This incredible Speyside has numerous accolades including a Gold Medal at the 2019 World Whiskies Awards, San Francisco World Spirits Competitonand International Spirits Challenge.

Matured in a unique combination of 1st fill Bourbon and 1st fill Sherry casks for notes of fresh apple, sweet floral grass and hints of chocolate. ‘Vinaya’, a Sanskrit word meaning respect and gratitude, pays homage to the original founders of the distillery who paved the way, as Bladnoch looks forward to an exciting new era of production and innovation.
