Honoring his prestige, King Charles I decreed that Parr, who outlived all, should lie in Westminster Abbey with the notable and deserving. Fast forward to the Greenlees brothers. In 1871, Scottish brothers James and Samuel Greenlees launched their whisky blender shop in London's Gresham Buildings. Their area of focus was blended Scotch whiskies, a market barely developed at the time yet pregnant with potential. Both brothers had a conviction that combining superior whiskies at just the right maturation point would result in an exceptionally flavored blend.
