The 18th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection® consists of 14-year-old Malt Whiskey aged in the upper floors of Rickhouses O and Q. Then, barrels that previously held Cognac were reconstructed to include a handful of new heavy toast staves. The Malt Whiskey was then rebarreled in the reconstructed barrels and aged for almost four months. Bottled at 107 proof without chill filtration, the rebarreling transforms the Malt Whiskey's earthy, herbal characteristics into complex notes of molasses, dark chocolate, and dried summer fruit.

Color: Polished Teak
Nose: Oranges and summer fruit at first, then black, herbal tea. Dark chocolate and caramel.
Taste: Rich and velvety, like fine port. Molasses and bittersweet chocolate followed by cloves and nutmeg.
Finish: The molasses and chocolate notes fade to dried figs and apricots with a peppery tingle right at the end.

The Parker's Heritage collection of small-batch bourbons are a series of rare, limited-edition bourbons crafted in tribute to Master Distiller Parker Beam and his five decades of experience distilling whiskey. Each year, Parker Beam and Heaven Hill select a special expression of whiskey to release under the Parker's Heritage Collection label. The barrels hand-selected for this series include bourbon, rye and wheat whiskeys, among others, and are some of the highest quality and most diverse American whiskeys to be produced. This 13th edition eight year old is the first-ever Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey to be released as a park of the Parker's Heritage Collection, consisting of 75 specialty barrels charred for a full minute and a half, as opposed to a more traditional 40 seconds. The Level 5 char barrels have been rested for eight years and nine months, on the seventh floor of Rickhouse Y. The heavier char allows the whiskey to penetrate further into the barrel, delivering deep notes of spice and wood, resulting in enhanced notes of spice and a distinctive character imparted by their traditional Rye Whiskey mashbill. Parker's Heritage Collection 13th Edition 8-Year-Old Rye is bottled without chill-filtration at 105 proof.

They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.The 14th edition of Parker's Heritage Collection features Heaven Hill’s traditional rye Bourbon mashbill, aged in specialty barrels that were charred for a full minute and a half, as opposed to our traditional 40 seconds. These "Level 5" barrels were aged for a full 10 years, where the heavier char allowed the Bourbon to penetrate further into the barrel, bringing forth caramel and maple sweetness. These 102 barrels were aged on the sixth floor of rickhouse Y, and developed a pleasant smokiness after 40 Kentucky seasons of maturation. It is bottled without chill filtration at 120 proof.
