Craigellachie
Speyside whiskies are known to be fruity and floral, but as the bad boy of Speyside Craigellachie defies with its oil fired, rich character. Craigellachie 13 is matured in a mixture of both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, toffee and fudge notes to the fore, and the sherry casks provide richness and complexity. Bottle size: 750ml

Bonfire night: aromas of oozing toasted marshmallows, roasted pineapple, and baked apples studded with cloves, with the tang of cordite lingering in the background.
Craigellachie sits firmly in the heart of Speyside, flat bang in the middle of scotch territory. It obstinately stands alone on a rock overlooking the confluence of the rivers Fiddich and Spey. But rid your mind of that typical ‘Speyside’ flavor, for Craigellachie rebels against this. It consciously makes no concessions to modern-day house rules. Craigellachie is an unapologetic and unique whisky, robust and muscular with a hint of pineapple. The distillery was built in 1891 when the great Alfred Barnard described our whisky as 'a style seldom met', and we've been old-fashioned - in style and flavor - ever since.
Crafted by the revered Craigellachie distillery in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, the 33 Year Old Small Batch Limited Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky stands as a testament to time-honored craftsmanship. With decades of patient maturation in the finest oak casks, this rare expression offers a complex array of flavors. Upon pouring, its deep amber hue hints at its long aging process. The nose delights with notes of ripe orchard fruits, luscious honey, and a delicate hint of oak spice. On the palate, layers of flavor unfold, revealing rich caramel, dried fruits, and a subtle whisper of smokiness. The velvety mouthfeel and lingering finish leave a lasting impression, making each sip a journey through the distillery's esteemed heritage. With its limited availability, this whisky is a prized addition to any collection, destined to be cherished by enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
