CASK TYPE
18 years in a combination of re-f ill and hogshead casks, the whisky was then finished for a period of around 15 months in Cabernet Sauvignon red wine casks sourced from the Napa Valley, California USA.

Celebrating 125 Years of Aberfeldy with This Highland Single Malt Scotch Limited Edition
Luxuriously succulent.
With notes of Highland honey, wild strawberries and ripe peaches warmed by the sun – the aroma builds with cocoa powder, creamy caramel and warming cinnamon. On the palate, delicate fruit rests on a malty, cereal base, with a hint of vanilla coffee and a long satisfying finish.
Matured for over two decades in a combination of re-fill hogsheads and refill butts, the whisky was then finished for over a year in First-fill Oloroso Sherry casks.Oloroso casks augment Aberfeldy’s rich and fruity character, and bestow a delightful spiced note.
Aberfeldy Distillery is nestled within a lush valley in the foothills of the Central Highlands of Scotland. Known as the ‘Golden Dram’, the distillery’s water source is the famous Pitilie Burn, renowned locally for its water quality and famed for its deposits of alluvial gold. Time-honoured techniques, such as longer fermentation, conjure rare honeyed notes – key to the signature sweetness of Aberfeldy’s malts.
The "Aberfeldy 12 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey" is Scented with spices and honeyed plump fruits. Syrupy, with lots of vanilla and fudge, with a whisper of smoke on the finish.
Aberfeldy 16 is matured in first-fill, re-fill and re-char Bourbon casks and then finished for six months in deluxe first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks.

Sherried and full like fruitcake, then dabs of rich dark chocolate and a soothingly rich, mouth-coating finish.
