Made from gently pressed Grenache grapes in the classic Old World style, the 2022 Rosé presents a pretty pale flamingo hue with scintillating aromas of fresh strawberry, guava, and honeysuckle. Subtle hyacinth and ginger notes are accompanied by cranberry, rhubarb, cherry blossom and lemon meringue. The palate is exquisitely balanced, displaying a lush, crisp juiciness with flavors of ripe strawberry, papaya, nectarine and mandarin orange. Hints of spiced peach, mango and watermelon are complemented by red delicious apple, kiwi, apricot and honeydew melon, all cascading into a clean, refreshing finish.

Inspired by the classics of Saint-Émilion, the 2020 DAOU Reserve Seventeen Forty is a Cabernet Franc driven wine with a harmonious complement of Merlot. Beguiling aromas of blackberry cobbler, raspberry, crème de cassis and cherry pipe tobacco anticipate hints of toasty oak, black licorice and pencil shaving. Lush and full bodied, this wine bestows rich flavors of cherry, black plum, dark chocolate and blueberry compote with lovely accents of Zante currant, graphite and cinnamon. Solid structure and fine-grained tannins support a lengthy, focused finish, leaving notes of plum and boysenberry underscored by cocoa and black truffle.

The remarkable 2021 vintage opens with heady aromas of rose petal, plum, blackberry jam, cooked strawberry, ripe black cherry and baking spice. Ink Purple in color, this wine that comes from the homes of Daniel and Georges DAOU, provides the deepest expression of a marriage between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. At the first sip, the density of this wine strikes you as something ethereal. On the nose, you are mesmerized with scents of rose petals, cigar box, blackberry Jam, Dark cherries, hibiscus, stone fruit, vanilla and dark chocolate. The tannins are soft and supple with an underlying power that spells elegance throughout the entire tasting experience. The middle palate is balanced and delivers a smooth transition between the attack and the finish. The finish won’t stop while keeping the wine fresh and vibrant.
Opening with a luxurious bouquet, the DAOU Chardonnay unveils a captivating array of aromas, including pineapple, vanilla bean, mango, hazelnut, and nutmeg spice. Floral nuances of honeysuckle and star jasmine dance alongside accents of sweet ginger and lemon zest. On the palate, its weighty presence delivers a velvety texture, unveiling flavors of Bartlett pear, Crenshaw melon, kiwi, and fresh pineapple. Balanced notes of Golden Delicious apple and papaya intertwine with hints of lemon cream pie and crushed almonds, while traces of white peach, citrus peel, and cinnamon add complexity to its lingering, graceful finish.
