Every great idea starts with a challenge.

Ours was simple: fine aged tequilas were not widely available in America.

It was on a trip to Mexico in the 90’s where QUI co-founder, Medhat discovered his passion for fine aged tequilas. He came to love their incredible flavor and wonderfully smooth finish. He wanted to bring that world best taste and exclusivity back to New York. The problem? These luxurious liquors were something that could rarely be enjoyed as their price point was just beyond the reach of so many.

QUI was established with the aim of not only creating the finest sipping tequilas on the market, but also making them accessible to more people, not less. Our mission has led us to create an exceptional, award-winning and simply luxurious range of liquors.

To create our tequilas, we discard the heads and tails of each distillation, using only the heart, which is the very best. It gave rise to QUI from the word te-QUI-la.

QUI SELECT is the exquisite new addition to our portfolio of beautiful extra añejo tequilas. This one of a kind extra añejo has been aged in a blend of hand-selected Tennessee Whiskey, French Bordeaux, and Sherry Casks for 7 years!

We created QUI Rare as a natural extension of our core purpose -  making exceptional aged tequilas accessible.

This one-of-a-kind extra añejo is carefully matured in hand-selected Tennessee Whiskey and French Bordeaux barrels for 12 years. This process delivers beautiful aromas of wood, tobacco, caramel, and vanilla.

On the palate, it is smooth, flavorful, and elegant with hints of sweet oak and a buttery finish.

Each year we strive to bring you the finest and rarest one of a kind aged tequila. This year we are proud to announce the release of QUI RARE 2009 FOUNDERS’ RESERVE. QUI RARE is the crown jewel in the House of QUI. We set out to create a unique release each year so that we never use any additives in our product.. This year’s release, the QUI Rare 2009 Founders' Reserve is a one of a kind extra añejo with notes of cherry, caramel, black pepper and hazelnut. This 12 year old extra añejo has been made from a blend of extra añejo tequilas that had been aged in hand-selected Tennessee Whiskey barrels for a delightful flavor, character and aroma. After blending, this liquid was finished in tanks to rest, maximizing bouquet and aroma. The highlands agave used for this blend were harvested in 2009, hence the name QUI Rare 2009 Founders' Reserve.
