Since opening its doors in 2017, The Block Distilling Co. has focused half of its efforts on crafting premium whiskey. Batch No. 1 of their Four Grain Straight Whiskey, aged for a minimum of two years, debuted in December 2019, earning a Silver Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in March 2020.
This whiskey boasts a unique mash bill of oats, rye, wheat, and malted barley, offering a harmonious blend of flavors. Aged in Canton Cooperage 53-gallon barrels for 36 months with toasted heads, it develops depth while minimizing harsh tannins.
With notes of apple, vanilla, and spice, this whiskey delivers a creamy mouthfeel and a long, spicy finish. Diluted, it reveals intensified sweetness and spice, making it a standout in the craft distilling scene.
