There, at the Kalogiannis distillery, the connoisseurs always requested ouzo from a specific barrel. An aromatic ouzo with a rich flavor. The story continues in Thessaloniki, where the Kalogiannis family moved in 1925. The unique flavor of their ouzo enchanted the whole city. In 1950, this unique distillate made its way to Piraeus. There, it was bottled for the first time, introducing the carafe which became the most common ouzo bottle. But its journey didn’t end there.
