For the series’ second release, Pinhook has partnered with Garrett Oliver, brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery and 2014 James Beard Award winner, to produce an artfully structured high-proof, high-rye bourbon. This special collaboration will fund 20 scholarships in brewing and distilling to people of color through the Michael J. Jackson Foundation, of which Oliver is chair. Blended and proofed from 20 pinhooked barrels out of Still Austin. Aged for 4 years in the Texas heat, which speeds aging and results in a whiskey with a maturity that far exceeds its time in the barrel. In Pinhook’s Collaboration Series, we partner with luminaries working in other sensory-rich fields to produce vintages that epitomize the curiosity-based approach Pinhook was founded on: sourcing great barrels of whiskey and meticulously crafting the blend and proof to bring out their finest characteristics. By exploring the possibilities of whiskey from varied perspectives, the Series’ collaborators invariably hit on something new and exciting.

THE BENROMACH STORY

We are a traditional Speyside distillery owned by a family of whisky-lovers intent on making single malt the right way with true character. We keep things simple. A handful of distillers relying entirely on our expertise and senses to make the finest handmade whisky; Speyside single malt matured exclusively in first-fill casks, with a subtly smoky character. It takes just four ingredients – barley, water, yeast, and a human touch. All of our casks are hand-filled, individually weighed, stenciled by hand, and stowed in our traditional dunnage warehouses. Why? Because at Benromach we believe making whisky by hand guarantees genuine character.

OUR HISTORY

Our family, the Urquharts of Elgin, have always been passionate about whisky. Our ancestor John began laying down casks of single malt at different distilleries in 1915, when everyone else was blending their whiskies. It was the realization of a long-held dream when we acquired Benromach Distillery in 1993. Five years of meticulous refitting of the distillery followed before HRH Prince Charles officially reopened our doors in 1998. Time well spent creating a style of single malt reminiscent of the days before commercial maltings. A time when Speyside distilleries malted their own barley using peat to fuel the fires and impart a distinctive touch of smoke to their whiskies. The resurrection of Benromach Distillery signaled the rediscovery of a lost style of Speyside single malt.

FIRST-FILL BOURBON AND SHERRY CASK Aged 21 Years

Matured in the finest hand-selected first-fill oak casks, our TWENTY ONE YEAR OLD single malt delivers sweet Sherry aromas. Subtle spice, Seville orange and raspberry follow with a soft smoky finish.

The wine is made using grapes from select vineyards in the Sonoma Coast region, which is known for its cool climate and maritime influence. This unique climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in a wine with bright acidity and intense flavors.

On the nose, Chalk Hill Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2021 Wine offers aromas of tropical fruit, including pineapple and mango, as well as notes of lemon and pear. These fruity notes are complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak, which add complexity to the wine.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavors of ripe fruit, including apple and pear, and a creamy texture that comes from aging the wine in oak barrels. The wine has a long and satisfying finish, with a hint of minerality that adds a refreshing touch.

What sets Chalk Hill Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2021 Wine apart from other Chardonnays is its balance and elegance. The wine has a perfect balance of fruit and acidity, which gives it a refreshing quality that is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes.

Tanqueray Rangpur Lime Distilled Gin blends the exotic Rangpur lime with ginger and bay leaves for a spectacularly fresh flavour. Rangpur limes, a rare fruit originating from India, carry all the zest of lime and the juiciness of mandarin oranges, elevating Tanqueray’s perfect balance of four classic gin botanicals - piney juniper, peppery coriander, aromatic angelica, and sweet licorice. Cierto Private Collection Reposado is an incredible demonstration of what a Reposado can become when properly aged in the right conditions. The aroma is light with hints of butterscotch and cooked agave. Aged in French Limousin oak casks, this expression is smooth and rich, with flavors that begin with agave then turn to caramel and finish with a rich cinnamon spice. STORY

At Four Pillars, we’ve always had a well-known love of bright flavours and the cornucopia of great Australian-grown citrus.

It started with oranges in Rare Dry Gin, finger limes in Navy Strength Gin and continued through blood orange, grapefruit, cumquat and bergamot – the list goes on. In fact, if you can name a citrus, chances are we’ve distilled it.

Over the past four or five years, there’s been another citrus slowly edging its way into our hearts. It’s yellow and looks pretty ugly (it’s all in the eye of the beholder, of course) but it tastes and distills great. Yep, we’re talking about the mighty yuzu.

FRESH YUZU GIN

We've had a thing for yuzu for a while now, and with three limited-edition trial runs under our belts, we're ready to launch the newest member of our core range: a stand-alone, honed and perfected Fresh Yuzu Gin. A bright, aromatic and (yes) fresh dry gin made with locally-grown yuzu and inspired by our adventures making gin with Japanese friends.

After nearly a century of adventures and discoveries, CUTTY SARK has gathered its passion and expertise to create a 12 year old high quality Whisky. Offering a mellow mouthfeel, the expression is balanced by complex notes of spice and fruit.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Layers of baked blackberry with cream, brown sugar, and nutmeg open up into aromas of leather, and cigar box to build a complex nose that continues to develop in the glass.

Palate: Dark fruit and nutmeg make an appearance along with vibrant cognac, but eventually give way to caramel and aged oak, showing the strong character of the aged bourbons in the blend.

Finish: Similar to the palate, the finish begins with a burst of rich port wine sweetness which transitions into seasoned oak and worn leather.

Westland Outpost Range whiskey Garryana is a series that explores a native species of oak for barrel aging. In Edition 7, the rich and savory Garry Oak interacts with sturdy Washington Wine. The high percentage of both cask types result in a mélange of spices and savory fruits
