In the mighty Norwegian forests where sunlight rarely penetrates. In lonely landscapes inhabited only by the ‘Hulder’ wood nymphs, who live below ground surrounded by the roots of old oaks. This is where Bareksten takes its inspiration from. Nordic, natural and organic ingredients form the basis for its unique flavours.

Knob Creek Rye is patiently aged for seven years in deeply charred barrels and bottled at 100 proof to give it the signature Knob Creek full flavor. The Winemaker Diogo Sepúlveda
With more than 15 years of experience in the wine sector, Diogo has a vast international career, having worked on projects in different countries such as Portugal, the USA, Australia, and France. Today, is in charge of winemaking management for Mateus, Vinho Verde, Dão and Lisbon.

Tasting
Deep, intense ruby colour with a bright red rim. The predominant flavours are ripe and cooked black fruit. Sweet notes of vanilla and nuances of mocha. The first impression in the mouth is rich and full. Excellent balance between tannins and acidity, with a long, smooth finish.

Harvest year
Winter was colder and wetter than usual. Spring saw higher average temperatures than normal. The grape clusters appeared in April, which was a particularly wet month. Summer temperatures were hotter than the climatological norm. The harvest started at the end of August and extended into September.

Maturation
After alcoholic fermentation, the must was removed to separate the wine from the coarser sediments. It was then stored in stainless steel tanks until the day of bottling.

Tasting
Attractive citrus yellow and slightly golden in colour. Aromatically intense with notes of ripe peach, melon and white flowers, balanced with a touch of vanilla. The palate is well-rounded, with an excellent integration of American oak and a very long, balanced and agreeable finish.

Maturation
After alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, part of the wine was kept on fine lees.

Only the very best black Amarena cherries are carefully selected, stoned and sweetened to garnish cocktails, desserts, cakes or ice-creams.

great as an ingredient or garnish on entrees or desserts, especially on ice cream; once the cherries are finished, it is possible to use the syrup for thirst-quenching long drinks, ice lollies, water-ices and milkshakes; adding the syrup to fresh milk, you’ll obtain fresh and tasty shakes.

Product uniqueness
Made using wild, black amarena cherries from Apulia region in Italy. Flavored with Lazzaroni Amaretto, based on the maceration of famous Amaretti Chiostro di Saronno biscuits. Lazzaroni has been making Authentic Italian Amaretto Lazzaroni, in Saronno Italy, since 1851.
