In the 19th Century, the arrival of English ships in Honolulu Harbor led to a strong Victorian influence. Named after a sailor’s word for “drink”, “Fid” Street, now known as lower Nu’uanu Avenue in Honolulu, became the place where the thirsty and sea-weary reveled. Bridging the gap between old English and American craft gin styles, FID Street Gin is the first gin ever created on Maui and only the second in Hawai'i since prohibition. 

FID Street Gin exhibits a very clean and aromatic fresh cut floral and citrus bouquet with a hint of forest air. FID Street Gin is a Hawaiian Gin reminiscent of a London Dry, with tropical notes from Hawaiian fruit and botanicals. It is crafted with eleven botanicals then distilled in our glass stills, creating a clean and aromatic fresh cut floral bouquet. Distilled with unique glass stills Hali'imaile Distilling Company. FID Street Gin pays homage to this history by marrying the typical components of a London Dry gin with unique local Hawaiian ingredients.

Cinnamon, clove oil and white pepper in balance with russet apples and ripe pears, on a back-ground of charred oak.

Taste
Cinnamon, green peppers and a touch of nutmeg combined with orchard fruits, vanilla and toasted oak. All laid upon a crisp barley core.

Finish
Long Pot Still oils and spices slowly fade to rich barley, toasted wood and a wonderfully complex honey flavour.

Maker Notes

Many moons ago, the ancient gods pitied humans for they had fare and wealth, but nothing to warm their hearts. By decree of Mayahuel, the Aztec goddess of agaves, the gods bestowed mortals the privilege of experiencing the pleasures of her plant's sweetest nectar. Mayahuel’s magical succulent from the highlands of Mexico has since provided humanity with an instant connection to Mother Earth and the most important joys of life.

TASTE

Our Blue Weber mezcal brings a sweet and mellow flavor that complements the robust earthy notes of roasted agave from our more traditional blend of Espadín mezcal from Oaxaca. This blend is the perfect introduction to mezcal: smooth and unique to have by itself but also perfect for a fresh cocktail.

Maison Rouge VS is an amber cognac with an orange glow. The first impression is floral with hints of rose petals, but slowly the fruit comes forward in full bloom. A light lemony flavor gives way to traces of vanilla, and the finish is spicy with a cinnamon fragrance. One the palate, the pear marries cinnamon and vanilla for a soft, ripe finish.

The Hardy cognac house created Maison Rouge, like their other products, in tribute and remembrance to cognac's history. A barn with red tiles from Roumaziere used to cellar aging Hardy's cognacs on the way to Saintes, where it is rumored that a mysterious Paradis known only to family members harbored very old casks of eaux-de-vie of considerable concentration. To honor these vermilion roofs of famous reputation and after carefully blending, Maison Rouge was created. It reflects the brilliance of this legendary color where tones of fruitiness and ripeness melt together with magical balance.

The Gosling family proudly introduces Papa Seal, the "father of all rums." Pot and column distilled from molasses, blended and then aged for over 15 years in hand-selected, once-used bourbon barrels with a medium char. Bermuda's humid, salty sea air provides a superior aging environment.

Production was limited to only 12 barrels and although the flavour difference imparted by one barrel versus another is subtle, Papa Seal is hand bottled and hand labeled, one barrel at a time. Papa Seal was created to be enjoyed neat or with a cube of ice.

What gives Ledaig 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky its intensely complex character First, peat-dried malted barley is married with aromatic water, drawn from Tobermory Distillery's private water source on the rugged Isle of Mull. Matured in superior oak wood casks and finished in Spanish sherry wood casks the result is a wonderfully peated single malt, robust and vibrant with a spicy smokiness, floral seaside aromas and hints of liquorice and cloves. Produced in Northern France near the Belgium border, Wignac Ciders are 100% organic ciders made from table apples, cider apples and juice from wine grapes from Burgundy! The ciders have no added sugar, no added sulfites, and are naturally gluten-free.

The Wignac estate was established in 2016, when Edouard and Eliane de Merode, a brother and sister, started producing Wignac cider in the Ardennes. Many Americans remember the Ardennes as the region where major battles of WWI and WWII took place.  Edouard and Eliane want to show that the Ardennes can also be known for something beautiful too - its cider.
Located near the famous terroir of the Champagne region, Edouard and Eliane seek to reinvent and rejuvenate the image of cider and the region while maintaining the traditional making of cider on the Wignac estate. Both Edouard and Eliane grew up in the countryside surrounded by the nature, so was only natural to have their estate certified organic. And before their orchards were planted, the estate already boasted organic Angus cows.

Wignac was the name of Edouard and Eliane’s great-great grandmother, la Marquise de Wignac, from whom Edouard and Eliane inherited the Domaine du Château de Guignicourt sur Vence (Ardennes – France) The château was built in 1710 by the Wignacourt family and it has been in the family ever since – despite being seized during the French Revolution.  It was eventually given back to the family by Napolean I in the early 1800’s!

Wignac ciders are unique and unlike traditional French ciders. ‘Le Lièvre” is a mix of cider apples and table apples. “Le Goupil” is a rosé cider made of cider and table apples to which juice from wine grapes from Burgundy has been added. 

Le Lievre offers aromas and flavors of a fresh apple, picked directly from the tree. Le Goupil offers delicate aromas and flavors of apples, with a hint of sweetness from the juice from wine grapes.

TRANSCEND TRADITION Old Elk Bourbon uses four times more malted barley than conventional recipes and a Slow Cut proofing process. The Old Elk recipe includes three quality ingredients malted barley, rye, and corn. The additional malted barley, combined with spicy essence of clove from rye, and the traditional rich bourbon character from corn, creates the overall robust taste profile.

The Slow Cut proofing process used for Old Elk Bourbon enhances the bourbon's flavors through a patient process where full barrel proof bourbon is cut, left to rest, and then the process is repeated. While traditional proofing takes 24-48 hours, this slow cutting technique, developed over several test periods, takes significantly longer. This intentional time period allows the flavors to marry between stages, until the exact character is achieved, creating an overall smoother bourbon.

The dried grapes produce a powerful wine with marvelous flavor which is aged up to three years in Allier and Slovenian oak casks prior to release.
