Luxardo Bitter Bianco

Luxardo

750 ml | 30% ABV
Cocktail

Girolamo Luxardo moved to what is today known as Zadar, Croatia in 1817 as a consular representative of Sardinia. It was his wife that became enamored with the local Dalmatian liqueur, the Rosolio Maraschino. In 1821 Girolamo opened a distillery and soon after received a certificate from the emperor of Austria that acknowledged its exceptional quality. Their liqueurs became known far and wide along with their growing and impressive range which included the Original Maraschino Cherries, Limoncello, and a cherry liqueur. By 1913 the company had grown considerably, opening a new state-of-the-art distillery. The operation along with the Luxardo bloodline barely made it through the Second World War, but a new distillery with its very own cherry orchards thrives today in Torreglia, the Veneto region of Northeast Italy. It employs traditional copper-pot stills while constantly upgrading and investing to stay at the forefront of the industry. The company remains family-owned and is ran by the fifth, sixth, and seventh generations of the Luxardo family. Their flagship Maraschino liqueur and a range of award-winning products are a cocktail staple, along with cherries, syrups, wines, brandies, and many others. Luxardo Bitter Bianco marks the return of the world's first clear Italian liqueur. Made using the signature recipe from the 1930s it contains the same infusions of botanicals as the Luxardo Bitter Rosso (rhubarb, thyme, bitter orange), except that they are distilled before blending, resulting in a higher proof. The clear liquid brings a lighter twist to cocktails such as the Bianco Negroni or Bianco Spritz.

Wild Turkey Master's Keep 17 Year Old Bottled in Bond

Wild Turkey

750 ml | 50% ABV
Whiskey | Bourbon

Following the end of the American Civil War, the Ripy Brothers returned to their native state of Kentucky and together, opened a distillery on the slopes of a hill in Lawrenceburg. The distillery operated continuously for nearly fifty years until the 18th Amendment, which prohibited the sale of alcohol in the United States, was ratified. Following the end of Prohibition, the Ripy Brothers Distillery was reopened and a distillery executive named Thomas McCarthy took samples of maturing whiskey from the distillery on a turkey hunt with a group of friends. The next year, his friends asked him to bring "some of that wild turkey whiskey" on their next hunt, giving birth to the distillery's new name. Today, Wild Turkey Distillery is stewarded by Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie Russell (together, the pair have over 90 years of experience producing bourbon). "I was born and raised in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky," says Jimmy, "which was a small community when I was growing up, but there were four bourbon distilleries here, and you had families working all the distilleries. You wanted to get in the business. My grandfather and my father, me, and now my son, we've all been in the business." Wild Turkey Master's Keep series explores the premium end of American whiskey. Master's Keep 17 Year Old Bottled in Bond holds a special place in their lineup as the oldest whiskey they have on offer. Only the second expression with the bottled-in-bond designation from the producer, this 100-proof whiskey was hand-selected by Master Distiller Eddie Russell in order to create a truly big and bold expression. "We took the historic process and protocol of aging for four years to the next level and allowed the liquid to rest for 17 years. We aged and perfected this rare, 17-year-old bourbon in Wild Turkey's Camp Nelson rickhouses," says Russell.

iichiko Silhouette

Iichiko

750 ml | 25% ABV
Spirit

Situated in the Oita Prefecture on Japan's southernmost island of Kyushu, iichiko produces shochu, a traditional Japanese spirit. The operation employs cutting-edge technology in making its award-winning spirits. But it's also the environment that contributes to the quality of the product. The region is famous for its clean air, forests, and mountains, as well as spings. The water iichiko uses is naturally filtered through volcanic rock and is soft and iron-free. "Iichiko" means "it's great" in the local Oita dialect. The distillery was formed in 1958 and produced sake, wine, and shochu. The very first iichiko shochu to be made from barley was released in 1979. Since then the company has become one of the leading Japanese producers of barley shochu. While shochu is most commonly distilled from rice, iichiko Saiten is crafted from polished 100% two-row barley, making it a distant cousin of whisky. It's a Honkaku shochu, meaning it's the highest grade of the spirit and one that utilizes a single ingredient. No additives or sweeteners are added and the pristine water is filtered through 1,000 feet of volcanic rock. The barley is steeped in this water before being steamed and left to ferment using koji, a type of mold that kickstarts the process of converting starch to sugar. It is then distilled once using low pressure and atmospheric distillation before the two raw distillates are blended together. The iichiko Silhouette is a traditional shochu that is bottled at 50 proof. Lighter and super-versatile, it pairs great with food, as it is traditionally consumed. It is equally drinkable straight or on the rocks, as well as in cocktails, or even with tea.

Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot Three Palms Vineyard Wine 2019

Duckhorn

750 ml | 14.5% ABV
Wine

Since our inaugural 1978 vintage, we have been proud to craft a vineyard-designate Merlot from the legendary Three Palms Vineyard. Named for its three iconic palm trees, this warm, up-valley vineyard features lean soils that cause the vines to send their roots deep in search of nutrients, yielding a profoundly intense and age-worthy wine with complex fruit and mineral layers. As a testament to its status as the benchmark for New World Merlot, in 2017, Wine Spectator honored our 2014 Three Palms Vineyard Merlot as “Wine of the Year.”

WINE PROFILE

Production Notes

Varietal Composition: 100% estate fruit, 89% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 0.5% Petit Verdot, 0.5% Malbec

Winemaker Notes

Once again, the famed Three Palms Vineyard has yielded a fascinating and luxuriously full-bodied Merlot. Aromas of huckleberry, black cherry, chocolate and fig rise from the glass, followed by hints of graphite, graham cracker, bay leaf and sage. On the mouth-watering palate the flavors are intense and complex, with velvety tannins and voluptuous fruit balanced by earthy undertones and Three Palms’ classic minerality, all of which carry the wine to a rich and remarkably long finish.

Production

For both red and white grapes, 2019 offered near picture-perfect growing conditions, with mild spring and summer weather, and no significant heat events. The conditions were ideal for both our Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, which show beautiful tropical notes and ripe flavors at low sugars. While our Chardonnay harvest began about three weeks later than normal, the fruit arrived at the winery in pristine condition, producing dynamic and complex wines. The excellent growing conditions naturally resulted in a slightly larger than average crop for our red Bordeaux varieties, with fully lignified seeds at low sugars levels. With temperate weather throughout fall, we were able to pick each block at optimal ripeness, yielding exceptionally juicy and polished red wines, with plush, well-rounded tannins, and lovely overall structure.

Perry's Tot Navy Strength Gin

Perry's Tot

750 ml | 57% ABV
Gin

It took over 70 years after the prohibition had ended for the distilling industry to return to New York City. New York had a flourishing distilling industry by the early 19th century, however things changed during the Civil War, when President Lincoln taxed spirits to fund the military. This resulted in many distilleries going underground before the end of the century. The fatal blow for the legal distilling industry in US came in 1920, when the Eighteenth Amendment came into effect making the production of alcohol illegal. It was only in the 21st century that small distilleries started resurging in New York. The New York Distilling Company, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is one of the oldest distilleries in the city, and was founded in 2011 by Tom Potter, a co-founder of the Brooklyn Brewery, and Allen Katz, one of the nation's leading experts on distilled spirits and cocktails. The distillery specializes in gins and rye whiskeys and has been one of the pioneers of the city's distilling renaissance that builds upon the pre-prohibition heritage. Gin distilling in New York began in the 17th century, when Dutch settlers of New Amsterdam (as New York was then called) started making a version of the Dutch spirit genever. However, it wasn't until the early 19th century when the first commercial gin was produced in the US. Gin was a popular drink during the prohibition, as it was simple to make. American gin is a bit different from London and other European gins as a result of using other botanicals. Perry's Tot is a navy strength gin named after Matthew Calbraith Perry, who served as a Commandant of the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the 1840s. Navy strength means that if this 57% ABV American gin was accidentally spilled over some gunpowder, the gunpowder would still ignite. The first navy strength gin produced in the US in over a century is made using 10 botanicals juniper berries, lemon peel, orange peel, grapefruit peel, coriander, angelica root, cardamom pods, sweet cinnamon, star anise and wildflower honey, which are sourced locally and from across the globe.

Meili Vodka

Meili Vodka

MEILI IS MORE THAN VODKA

The essence of Meili emanates from fire, water, earth, and air.
‍Every element is purveyed with quality and character in mind.
‍The perfection within the process.

FIRE
The heart of our spirit, fire, not only powers our stills - but also refines our beautifully unique glass.
‍Our flame burns twice as bright - indefinitely, due to Meili's 100% post-consumer recycled bottle. Vast mountains of broken, discarded glass are heated to molten masses, reborn, and repurposed into something functional and exquisite.
‍This is why no two bottles are alike. The antique texture, full of organic imperfections, and the stunning Georgia green hue.
‍An appropriate vessel for our outstanding spirit.

WATER
The soul of our spirit, water, is the essence of our existence. Instinctively, we sought one of the purest water sources available.
‍An ancient aquifer formed over 300 million years ago ushers alpine snow and rainfall through miles of vast underground caverns - filtering and infusing itself through the veins of natural springs.
‍Meili takes pride in using this “living water” to distill and proof our spirits to bottle, resulting in an incredibly refreshing, unpolluted, and genuinely remarkable flavor.
‍Our regenerative water source is considered one of the purest on Earth by EPA standards.

EARTH
The body of our spirit is derived from the earth.
‍A harmonious marriage of native and seasonal grains brings a bright, smooth, and effortless flavor profile.
‍Our grains are sourced locally on our own farms, operated by the same family for generations. These farms are located centrally to our water source and distillery, resulting in the smallest carbon footprint possible. A factor that is very important to us.
‍To honor the Earth, we ensure that Meili is created, sourced, and produced as ethically, environmentally friendly, and humanely as possible.

AIR
The final "breath of life" into our spirit is air.
‍From beginning to end, Montana's crisp, cool mountain air influences our vodka and its ingredients in several unique ways.
‍The 11,000-foot elevation at our aquifer's peak allows alpine snow and rainfall to remain untainted before its subterranean journey to the collection source.
‍At the final distillation stage, our vodka is set to rest and breathe before bottling, resulting in a smoother flavor profile.

SUSTAINABILITY
We take the broken and make it whole. We transform the discarded into the desired.
‍This is recycling reimagined. Resurrected from the blaze, our handmade glass radiates new life from the ashes of the old. Designed through determination, true beauty contains imperfections. Look for them as a testament to our story. To not use the cheapest, most accessible glass available - but to create something better. Seek the unique, lead by example. Our message lies within every bottle.
Our vision lives through our glass. This is real sustainability.
