In May 2021, Lord Hobo Brewing Company (Woburn, MA) picked up seven Kentucky bourbon that housed whiskey used in the production of Batch 2021-03 of New England Barrel Company’s (NEBCo.) Small Batch Select Bourbon. These barrels were then filled with a stout developed by Lord Hobo and left to sit for just over four months.
In September 2021, these barrels were emptied of the stout and brought back to NEBCo where they were filled with single barrels of Kentucky Bourbon aged 3 years, 11 months, and 14 days.
The bourbon was allowed to finish for 3.5 month in these barrels adding complementary notes of the chocolate, toffee, and hints of coffee to the underlying bourbon.
Bottled at cask strength and lightly, non-chill filtered for your enjoyment and drinking pleasure, Barrel 17-45 is limited to 196 bottles.

Slane Special Edition is inspired by Lord Henry Conyngham and the first Slane Castle Concert that took place on August 16, 1981. Now more than 40 years later, Henry’s trailblazing idea lives on both through the concert and Slane Irish Whiskey.

Slane Special Edition uses Slane Irish Whiskey’s signature triple casked blend with an increased amount of Virgin Casks to go with the Seasoned and Sherry Casks. Wolves is American whiskey made in California from an equally creative group of founders, also based in California.  Wolves is distilled in Sonoma County by 13th generation Master Distiller Marko Karakasevic using an old, slow, brandy still that was imported from Cognac in 1983.

Uniquely, Wolves signature blend consists of whiskey created from refined craft beer, and Rye whiskey.  The flavor profile is unlike anything else on the market.

Wolves is launching The Hotel Series, which are whiskey collaborations with some of the world’s finest hotels. The first release, titled Table 9, is with the Peninsula Beverly Hills.  Table 9 is a variation of Wolves signature blend, with a high-pilsner content, and is named after the most sought after the table in the hotel.

The bottle will not be sold to the public and is initially available exclusively in the hotel.  Certain Wolves clients will be invited to purchase a bottle as well.  320 bottles were produced.

In celebration of the partnership, Michelin-starred chef of The Peninsula, Ralf Schlegel, prepared a private, four-course dinner experience at the hotel, with each course paired with a different Wolves expression.

From a Distillery with more ups and downs that a pogoing punk comes Ardcore. Created with roasted black malt, roasted to the extreme, this spirit is all about what happens up front – centre stage. The malt is what defines its distinctive profile. Described as tasting like ‘biting on a spiky ball’, Ardcore is a dram that wears its heart on its sleeve… its black heart!

Notes of charcoal and sweet smoke make for an in-your-face nose, while potent notes of aniseed and dark chocolate stamp this bottle out as one fit only for the most Ardcore of fans.

Our Castle Rock Pinot Noir is produced from grapes grown in a carefully selected group of California vineyards, where the climate and soil quality provide excellent growing conditions for this delicate varietal. Our Pinot Noir is elegant and medium-bodied, offering complex aromas of strawberry, dried herbs, and allspice. The generous midpalate is highlighted by flavors of cherry, cinnamon, and warm sugar with a long, harmonious finish. This versatile wine pairs well with chicken, salmon, and light pasta dishes.

Makoto 23 is a single grain Japanese whisky, distilled, bottled, and aged at the Kumesen Distillery, one of the most famous distilleries in Japan. Through continuous research and innovation, Kumesen Distillery had reached an unrivaled sophistication.

Makoto whisky was distilled on 1995 and was aged for 23 years in bourbon casks. NOSE: Frank August’s Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon opens with hints of caramel and vanilla that are balanced with warm oak and mild baking spices which warm the senses.

PALATE: Echoes those initial sweet caramel and vanilla notes, with cinnamon and rye bread spices coming forward. At 100 proof, it is a perfect balance of heat and smoothness that warms your mouth, while hints of brown and malt sugars begin to present themselves.

FINISH: As flavors of vanilla, oak and baking spices transition through all senses, it leaves a medium-long finish, wanting you to pour another glass.

Our 15 Year Old marries two very different cask types in one outstanding dram. With half spending it’s life in American oak embodying Glen Moray's classic style, the other half maturing in oloroso sherry casks resplendent with rich spice, we bring their contrasting styles together to craft intensely complex layers. With tastes of dried fruits, dark chocolate and spice, amplified by age, this Scotch whisky is a perfect treat for single malt lovers eager to discover more.

TASTING NOTES

The Helios distillery has launched a 21-year-old aged version of its Teeda craft rum. It was distilled in 1998 and bottled by the third generation of the Matsuda family.
Helios is the oldest distillery in Japan and started producing rum in 1961, in response to demand from the American army who were stationed there at the time.
This rum is distilled from local cane sugar molasses in a copper pot still. The sugar cane enjoys mineral-rich soils and a tropical climate, giving the rum a mineral, saline character. With a tropical climate and an average temperature of 22.5°C, this archipelago is the only place in Japan able to grow sugar cane.
This rum has spent 21 years maturing in new American oak barrels. It is the only product of its kind, with just 2,500 numbered bottles made.

Our single barrels start with Colby and our distilling team selecting a small group of special barrels from our aging warehouses that he feels have exceptional characteristics that he’d like to share with the world. From that small batch of barrels, some of our favorite shops have hand-selected barrels to call their own. We also offer our very own single barrel exclusively sold at our Tasting Room at the Ranch.

Our single barrels are bottle at “barrel strength” which means we don’t add any water to proof them down. So what you’re tasting is exactly how Colby tasted it when he fell in love with that whiskey.

Two James is located in Corktown, Detroit's oldest neighborhood, and is the first licensed distillery in Detroit since Prohibition. Old Cockney is a contemporary style gin crafted from a base of organic winter wheat. The botanical blend of coriander and orange peel provide nice floral and citrus aromas and flavors, which are balanced by spice from black peppercorn and earthy elements from orris root, angelica root and gentian root. Our gin possesses heavy juniper, but pine notes serve as an undertone in the flavor profile. This elegant spirit was distilled from a mash of corn, rye, and malt and placed in new, charred American oak barrels to age in our single-story warehouses. As a result of the curious conditions experienced by these barrels during the aging process, the proof dropped below the minimum standard to be called a whisky. The result is a complex and sophisticated spirit with a light and easy drinking character.
