We employ a four grain mash bill of corn, barley malt, wheat and rye to achieve a softer bourbon that emphasizes malt and rye. Expressions unique to each barrel of spiciness on the nose with a long finish of butterscotch, caramel and tobacco.

Les Reserves d'Arton Crme de Peche de Vigne is an extremely bright and fruit forward expression of heirloom varietal Peaches, grown entirely in estate owned orchards in the iconic Dordogne region of France.

Enjoyed with dry white wine, and fresh mint in a sangria - or with champagne on a summer afternoon - the rich character of these heirloom peche de vigne (peach of the vine) present a natural, and accurate character of ripe fresh peach.

Climate
Overall, the 2022 growing season in Salento was hot and dry. The winter months followed normal weather patterns and rainfall was within seasonal averages. Spring was mild but drought conditions prevailed. Although summer was hot and dry, the vineyards benefitted from moderate breezes that provided good temperature variations between day and night. The resiliency of Calafuria’s vines together with vineyard practices that helped keep partial shade over the clusters and preserving good balance of the vines’ growth/productive phases are all factors that allowed the grapes to reach peak ripeness, preserving fragrant aromas and aromatic freshness.

Vinification and aging
Immediately after harvesting, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed. The must was transferred into temperature controlled stainless steel vats at 12 °C (54 °F) to favor natural clarification of the must. Alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of 16 °C (61 °F) to preserve and enhance aromatic compounds. Calafuria was left to age on the lees in stainless steel tanks for a short period of time before it was bottled and released for sale.

Historical data
Masseria Maìme is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Upper Salento not too far from the town of San Pietro Vernotico in the province of Brindisi. The estate extends along the coastline forming a unique countryside of vineyards that lies between woodlands and pine forests stretching out as far as the eye can see until blending into the sea. The most prevalent grape varieties grown here are Negroamaro, Primitivo, Syrah, Cabernet and Chardonnay. Calafuria is produced from vineyards that extend along the Adriatic coastline. Its name comes from one of the over 700 bays on the Apulian peninsula. The region boasts a long tradition for the production of rosé wines made from Negroamaro, a variety that best expresses its full potential near the sea. Calafuria is a rosé that is delicate, pleasantly fruity, savory and well-rounded, reflecting the aromas and colors of its home territory, Salento.

Tasting notes
Calafuria is a delicate pale pink color. Fruity, citrusy notes of pink grapefruit, orange blossoms together with delicate hints of jasmine and lime blossoms dominate the nose. The palate is pleasantly fresh with excellent aromatic persistence and a delicate savory note on the finish.

Les Reserves d'Arton Poire Ancienne is a true fruit brandy, or eau de vie (water of life). Extracting the character of several ancient and heirloom varietals of pear into spirit form.

Traditionally enjoyed chilled, or after dinner, this spirit has recently become embraced by craft cocktail bartenders and mixologists worldwide. Estate grown heirloom orchard pears are fermented and distilled to capture the purest expression of their essence. Bottled at 42% ABV.

Barbicaia Sangiovese Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019 is a dry red wine from Italy. It's made from at least 70% Sangiovese grapes, also known as Prugnulo Gentile. The wine also contains other grape varieties, including Cannaiolo. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a classic Italian wine that's rich in flavor and complexity. It's named after the picturesque hill town of Montepulciano, near Siena. The wine was a favorite among kings, popes, and the local aristocracy.

Specifically, it stipulated that the whiskey must be the product of one distilling season, from one distillery, aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof. 123 years later, this designation continues to offer those same guarantees, providing consumers with the knowledge of where, how, and when the Bourbon was produced and aged.

Maker Notes

We love espresso and we certainly love a good cocktail, so why not an espresso spirit? We gathered our barista and bartender friends together to taste different coffee blends and spirits until we found a liquid we love: medium-roasted Colombian Arabica beans carefully blended with smooth Caribbean Rum, for a finely balanced espresso spirit that can be mixed with almost anything. We hope you like it as much as we do.

TASTING NOTES

This is a bright crisp sauvignon blanc with citrus zip, flavors of lemon, lime, yellow grapefruit, and lime zest combined with a fennel and caper vibrancy. Green and yellow hues present in this wine with exotic aromatics of pink grapefruit, green lime zest, lemon citrus along with undertones of fennel, and green olive.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 033 is a marriage of high-rye barrels and high-corn barrels ranging in age from 5 to 9 years old. The high-rye barrels were chosen for their distinct stone fruit, black pepper, and nutmeg notes. The high-corn barrels were chosen for their rich butterscotch, coffee, and citrus notes. Two sets of barrels mingled together for two months, then the balance was adjusted for the most optimal combination.

FLAVOR NOTES

Barrell Bourbon Batch 033 displays all the complexity of a blend of different distillates given time to blossom. Barrel character adds some diverse leafy notes at the margins without an overabundance of extractive woody or spice notes.

Appearance: Citrine set in yellow gold.

​Nose: Pear, lemon meringue, and shoofly pie set the stage for a bourbon deftly balanced between freshness and maturity. A bouquet of jasmine, nasturtium, and dandelion speak to a youthful exuberance, while peppermint and gentian root depict an oak barrel just creeping in. A gentle savory character expands into edamame, macadamia nut, and mesquite smoke.

​Palate: Champagne, applesauce, and candied grapefruit peel show ample maturity without an excessive oak. The baking spice character is dialed up slightly, exhibiting cocoa powder, allspice, star anise, and juniper.

​Finish: A burst of heat rides a wave of minerals across the palate that include limestone, beach sand, and salt-water taffy. Geranium, elderflower, and chamomile reinforce the nose’s bouquet. The finish fades to the slightly bitter prickle of returning gentian root and lime peel, wiping the palate clean.

​With a splash of spring water

The palate grows much more viscous; it’s rich and sweet with vanilla buttercream. The savory notes intensify, with pickled caper, fried mushroom and hush puppies leading the way. The fruity notes expand dramatically to include nectarine, honeydew melon, passionfruit, and coconut cream.

An elegant expression of premium Rioja vines made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. Aged for four years, Reserva perfectly balances a fruity palate with hints of clove, pepper, vanilla and coconut.

TASTING NOTES

AROMA: Complex aromas with a great balance between the fruit (ripe cherries, black plums, and blackberries) and the wood characteristics (clove, nutmeg, vanilla and coconut).

PALATE: Smooth and balanced on the palate with lush fruit, baking spices, tobacco and toasted oak. Elegant and silky tannins, moderate weight, and long lasting finish.

PAIRS WELL WITH: Delicious with grilled or roasted fish, poultry or red meat, and blue cheese.
