Malfy Con Limone is distilled with Sfusato lemon peels from the Amalfi coast, classic Italian junpier and five other botanicals. In addition, we use Italian coastal oranges and Sicilian grapefruits. This citrus forward gin is unlike any other.

Italian invented gin in the 11th century. Monks living on the Salerno Coast gathered juniper berries and mixed them with alcohol. Today, our family makes Malfy G.Q.D.I. (Gin di Qualit Distillato in Italia) at our distillery in Moncalieri. We use Italian ingredients across our range of gins to give Malfy its signature Italian flavor. Mix 2 parts Malfy Con Limone with 1 part (Sorrento) limoncello in a highball glass. Add 3 parts soda, lots of ice and garnish with a wedge of (Italian) lemon.

Following the end of the American Revolutionary War, Johannes Reginald Beam emigrated from Germany to the United States, and eventually settled in Kentucky County. At the time, Kentucky County was still considered part of Virginia, and was overseen by a military governor named John J. Bowman. In order to encourage westward expansion, Virginia issued pioneers who agreed to settle in Kentucky County corn writs, which granted the pioneers 60 acres of land if they agreed to settle in Kentucky and start farming corn. After settling in Kentucky, Beam began harvesting corn and set forth a family tradition by distilling the excess grains he harvested into whiskey. Since then, seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the eponymous company (the company is actually named after James Beam, who rescued it following Prohibition). Today, Fred Noe a seventh generation master distiller and the great-grandson of Colonel James B. Beam shepherds his family legacy forward. Born in December 1839, William Grant became a cattle herder at the age of 7 to supplement his family's income. As a teenager, Grant apprenticed as a cobbler and a clerk, and in 1866, he joined Mortlach Distillery as a bookkeeper. For the next two decades, Grant managed the affairs at the distillery, while secretly learning the art of distillation. In 1886, he resigned from his position as distillery manager and, together with his seven sons, two daughters, and one sporadically working stonemason, built his family distillery in Scotland. William Grant & Sons is now a behemoth that is among the largest producers of Scotch in the world and is home to several massively successful labels. Yet it is still family-owned, run by Grant's descendants, and independent. Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Girvan Grain, Tullamore, and several other distilleries operate under them. With the release of Fistful of Bourbon in 2018, William Grant & Sons entered into the world of bourbon whiskey. It's a blend of 5 straight bourbons, aged 2 years and up in new charred oak barrels, before being bottled at 90 proof. The blend was crafted by Master Blender Brian Kinsman and Kelsey McKechnie to balance sweetness and spice, and have 5 distinct flavors: A balanced sweetness, green and floral notes, spice and nutmeg, buttery toffee, and a touch of cinnamon and licorice.

At Dovetail Distillery we malt our own wheat for use in our mash bill in a hand-built cedar cabinet. We then grind the malted wheat, wheat and oats into a fine flour which is then weighed out for our small batch process. We use local water from the Sierra Nevada snow melt to cook our mash and then allow it to ferment in open containers until it is ready to distill. At Dovetail Distillery we use the tried-and-true process of double distilling in a copper pot still to produce a spirit with both a full body and flavor. White Dove is unfiltered to maintain a full flavor.

TASTING NOTES:  White Dove has a strong peppery taste up front which is followed by a buttery caramel finish that lasts on the palette for several minutes.

AROMA:  White Dove has a strong aroma of cut grass and toasted oats.

MAKER'S NOTES:  White Dove pairs well with stone fruits and anything with a floral note. White Dove can easily be substituted in place of gin due to its strong botanical flavor. White Dove is unfiltered in order to maintain a rich, full flavor and body as is the tradition of an authentic Whiskey.

Distillery Information

Bruichladdich is living proof that the traditional whisky regions of Scotland make no sense. Please dont think that labelling a whisky Islay has anything to do with taste because the truth is far more complicated and interesting. Built in 1881 when puffer-supplied coal was available as an alternative fuel to local peat, it is likely that Bruichladdich was specifically designed to produce the purest unpeated spirit possible. The great Alfred Barnard supports this view with a tantalising clue the Laddie is the only distillery on Islay that he does not describe as drying its malt using peat in his fascinating exploration of the island's distilleries in 1885.
