Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre - Garrison Brothers Laguna Madre Limousin Oak-Immersed Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a limited release, highly sought-after bourbon whiskey. For the lucky few able to get their hands on a bottle, treasure it and enjoy it with the ones you love on the most special occasions. After all, it took eight years to make – Garrison Brothers' oldest bourbon to date.

Our Four Grain Bourbon story starts with two Colorado family farms where heritage corn and heirloom varietals of wheat, barley and rye are grown. Those grains find their expression during our labor-intensive cooking technique, bringing each grain’s individual character to life, while open-air sour mash adds soulful complexity. After three years in 53-gallon charred oak barrels, influenced by our high-altitude climate, an entirely novel bourbon unfolds.

AROMAS: Orange blossoms compliment notes of black tea, honey and dusty pepper

FLAVORS: Pekoe tea, orange peel, cinnamon and vanilla custard. Hints of sweet tobacco and spice lead to a rich, dry finish.

Mythology Needle Pig Gin is a dry modern gin distilled with six natural botanicals that include Italian juniper, coriander seed, orris root, grapefruit peel, star anise and sage. Sage spice and sweet pine on the nose complimented by resinous citrus from the juniper and ripe grapefruit. On the palate sweet jam up front, followed by grapefruit citrus, licorice and pine. As the spirit transforms, there is nice anise spice on the mid palate with subtle floral notes. Lasting citrus and sage on the finish.

A Trapper glided quietly through a field of juniper until he crossed paths with a Needle Pig. They both froze. The Trapper’s hand moved slowly to his spear when a mighty roar exploded from the forest. He grabbed his spear. The Needle Pig spread its quills & they both turned to face a charging grizzly bear. At the prospect of facing such a ferocious defense, the bear turned and fled.

Wildrye Distilling specializes in the production of unique distilled spirits prepared, whenever possible, from Montana-grown ingredients. Rather than importing raw materials from out-of-state to try and imitate established liquor styles, we use local ingredients to create spirits that have their own unique Montana style and taste.

This philosophy not only allows us to produce spirit styles that are unique to Montana, it reduces our carbon footprint while helping to support local agriculture, and the Montana economy. Although we don’t produce traditional distilled spirits, we do respect time-honored, production methods. All of our products are made from healthy ingredients and are chemical and preservative free. Wildrye Distilling products are hand-made and bottled in Bozeman, we even grow, and pick our own sweetcorn for our Five Drops Bourbon Whiskey on our family farm in Corvallis Montana.

In 1900, the Garnet Mining News touted Five Drops tincture as “The Pleasantest Most Powerful and Effective Never-Failing Tonic” for nearly everything. In a gesture to Montana history, we have created Five Drops Bourbon.

Our Family has grown sweetcorn in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley for nearly 40 years. This handcrafted bourbon whiskey puts a new twist on time-honored tradition by using our family’s finest Montana sweetcorn, fresh from the field. Five Drops is Mashed with a hint of malted barley using pure Montana water, distilled on our custom built equipment, and aged in new American oak. The result is an unbelievably smooth, flavor and aroma-rich Montana Bourbon Whiskey.

We age our Five Drops Bourbon Whiskey in SMALL CHARRED OAK BARRELS in a warehouse in Montana with no temperature control. This means high surface area (more wood touching less whiskey) and large temperature changes (hot in the summer, cold in the winter).

This is part of the reason why (the rest is a trade secret) we can create such a smooth, tasty bourbon in a shorter than usual period of time. With Wildrye’s special RED LETTER aging method, 1 year is similar to four years in a traditional barrel house. Don’t believe us? Take the Pepsi challenge.

This heady AOC Pays D’Auge Calvados is drawn from one, unique distillation batch from 1997 that was aged in old oak barrels formerly used for Pommeau. 750 ML bottles. In individual gift boxes. 40% alc/vol.

Admire the deep amber robe. Very deep and rich nose with flavors of cherries, leather and baked apples. The mouth is rich well structured and full-bodied.

The oldest Calvados deserve the greatest respect: Choose a liqueur glass such as a tulip glass or small brandy snifter, and pour your Marquis de Saint-Loup Calvados with care.  Warm it tenderly in the hollow of your hand.  Run the amber liquid slowly round the glass (held by the base) and admire its color and the patterns it traces on the sides of the glass. Calvados needs to breathe to develop its full qualities.  Wait for at least two minutes before bringing the glass up to your nose, finding the distance at which you can distinguish and absorb the subtle aromas. Then, take a few drops in your mouth before swallowing.  Now you are ready to truly savor your Calvados, sip by sip.  Take your time, and you will note a surprising development in flavor and taste. If you do not indulge too freely, your Calvados will leave a delicate fragrance on your palate.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Bright with a purple-ruby core that lightens at the rim, with thick, heavy moderately stained tears on the glass.

Aroma: Aromatic with ripe plum, fresh mission fig, black currant fruit, vanilla, tobacco leaf, dried violet flower, cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus bark, and oak.

Palate: Full-bodied with very ripe black and blue fruits on entry. Boysenberry, blackberry, and black cherry lead to a midpalate that is robust, with savory elements of black olive, cured meat, dried sage, and autumn leaves, surrounded by balanced moderate-plus tannins. The long finish is highlighted by persistent fruit with vanilla, baking spice, black tea, and toasted oak appearing as the finish lingers.

With over 20 years of experience using traditional and revolutionary barrel aging techniques and harvesting only the finest 100% Highland Blue Weber agave, we have achieved what we know are the world's top tequilas. AsomBroso La Rosa is 100% blue agave tequila and distilled and filtered multiple times. After the final filtration the resultant tequila spirit is then "rested" for 3 months in ex-Bordeaux red wine barrels. Its beauty sleep in the Bordeaux barrels gives the reposado its signature pink hue .
