To make a whisky that was as affordable and approachable as we wanted, we had to tear up the rule book (a renegade act we relished, we’ll admit). It was worth every effort for this double grain whisky.

Extra Añejo spends +5 years in French Oak barrels that once aged California red wines. This unique process results in a natural, ‘clean’ sweetness, refined oaky nose and unprecedented smooth finish.

This masterfully crafted Tequila is matured for more than 14 months in the same barrel aging process. On the nose, it is elegant, sweet and indulgent, with notes of dark cacao, dried fruit, toasted oak, and vanilla. With each sip, it tastes of toffee, apricot, oak, and chestnut.

Crafted from three different types of cask: American Bourbon casks, Virgin Oak casks and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks, this smooth single malt has an elegant, full taste and aroma that captures the fascinatingly sweet overtones that is the signature of BenRiach. Bottled at 86 proof and natural colour.

Sourced from select low-yielding vineyards in Napa Valley, our Chardonnay is characterized by crisp apple, ripe melon and citrus flavors, gently balanced with toasty French oak. Our winemaker uses malolactic fermentation in moderation to retain the wine’s bright acidity. More than a decade after our Chardonnay put us on the map, this wine remains a classic.

Caribbean Cask has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish, Malt Master David Stewart filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.

The Macallan Red Collection reflects our deep respect for time, tradition and craftsmanship. It is a celebration of the rich range of reds present naturally in The Macallan—in every step of the process.

The distinctive red colour weaves its way through our history, starting with the name of our founder Alexander Reid—literally “The Red”, to The Macallan’s ‘Choice Old’ range released over a century ago in 1903, through to Allan Shiach marking vintage bottles of The Macallan with a red ribbon in the 1980s.

The oak presentation box is crafted by hand in the UK, using the same sustainable European oak we use to make our casks. The box has been beautifully upholstered with sustainably sourced, soft scottish leather from our renowned partners, Bridge of Weir Leather.
