On the palate, the dram exhibits a herbaceous and grassy character, with the development of peat. Its texture is oily and almost waxy, leaving a desire for another sip. The initial flavors of cinnamon, stone fruit, and caramel are followed by a lingering finish that reveals malty, spicy, and peaty notes, with subtle hints of tobacco as it fades away.

El Gran Legado De Vida Reposado Tequila is a testament to tradition and craftsmanship. Aged to perfection, it offers a rich aroma with hints of oak, caramel, and vanilla. The history of Casa Sauza dates all the way back to 1873, with three dons, each playing an integral role in the production of the world's highest quality tequilas. Today, their legacy lives through each bottle of Casa Sauza. Situated in Jalisco, Mexico, Sauza was founded in 1873 when Don Cenobio Sauza established La Perseverancia distillery. Owned by Beam Suntory, it's headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Their products include Sauza, Conmemorativo, Hornitos, and Tres Generaciones. Their agave are harvested from Sauza's very own plantations, the agave fibers are prepped for a diffuser sugar extraction, yielding a solution of water and agave sugar. The agave mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks using a proprietary blend of yeasts and nutrients, using closed tanks and an automated cleaning process. The resultant liquid is twice distilled to 55-65% ABV, filtered using various methods such as carbon filters, through which tequila is filtered through in cold temperatures to remove the excess fatty compounds that give tequila a cloudy appearance. All of the containers and barrels used in production are made from American white oak with a smoky finish, which aligns with the Sauza's standards, and are used only for aging processes. As one of the first spirits to come out of Sauza's storied tequila house, Sauza Silver delivers the crisp, refreshing agave flavor.

Maker Notes

Tequila Gran Dovejo is a small-batch, traditionally crafted, tequila made from 100%  of the finest, estate grown blue agaves that are exclusively grown and produced in the highlands of Jalisco by the Feliciano Vivanco Family. The acidic, iron rich soil in this region known as the golden triangle of the highlands, is ideal for growing large agaves with high sugar content. At peak maturity the agave is harvested, the heart of the agave (pina) is hand selected, then slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens for a minimum of 36 hours at a temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Once roasted, they are milled in order to extract the sweet juices. The juices are isolated and then fermented with the use of “Prise de Mousse”, champagne yeast, and wild yeast strands pulled from the estate agaves themselves.

Anejo: Aged an average of 2 years in used bourbon barrels, bottled at 80 Proof.

Using the finest blue agave plant and a time honored distillation process, Don Julio Blanco Tequila is tequila in its truest form. Don Julio Blanco Tequila is the base from which all of our other variants are derived. Commonly referred to as “silver” tequila, its crisp agave flavor and hints of citrus make it an essential component to a variety of innovative drinks including margaritas. It can also be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

Tequila Trompeta Mexicana is a reposado made with 100% aged Agave of 6 months in white oak barrels of the highest quality, just as its bottle has a representative form of an iconic instrument in Mexican culture.

Aged a minimum of four years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in former first-fill Bourbon casks sourced from Kentucky, adding depth and complexity. This whisky showcases its natural color and is not chill filtered.
