BACKGROUND
A small family farm on the southwest coast of Ireland and an Irish farmer with a very big dream.

The Scully family, the founders of Clonakilty distillery, have farmed this windswept coastal land for 9 successive generations. With the best resources that nature has to offer, prime land, pristine water and salt sea air, they had the perfect ingredients for a maritime distillery.

DISTILLERY
Located at the waterfront, in the heart of Clonakilty town, the three gleaming copper pot stills are an inspiring sight to behold.

It is here that we distill our award-winning new make, alongside our visitor experience and shop. This is where the magic starts, and is the home of Clonakilty whiskey.

BARLEY FIELDS
We grow our own heritage barley on our family farm in the shadow of the Galley Head lighthouse.

Centuries of sea mist, soft rain and ocean spray provide a complexity to the soil that permeates through to each individual grain.

We are privileged to support Whale and Dolphin Conservation in their worldwide quest to protect these majestic creatures.

The Distillers at Clonakilty have hand selected an 8 year old grain and 10 year old triple distilled malt to create this first single batch Clonakilty Irish whiskey. 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Soft spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass, slightly perfumed, riple apple/pear notes. Fresh leather tones. 

Palate: Warm spices - cubed pepper and ginger. Fresh cut grass, hazelnut and almond notes. 

Finish: Well-balanced Irish whiskey with spices lingering on the palate.

Goslings 151 proof Black Seal comes from a long, dark line of Bermuda rums. So, unlike most high octane spirits, it has a deep, rich flavor not overpowered by alcohol burn. This is a muscular but refined rum that's now widely recognized as the best overproof rum available. Indeed, the International Rum Festival awarded it their coveted Platinum Medal in the Overproof Category. So think of it as the No.1 151. While this lip-tingling beauty is probably a bit potent for most casual sipping, it has a complex taste and unique quality that makes it an ideal complement to any number of exotic libations and classic tiki drinks, as well as any dessert recipe that calls for a little extra flair.

A blend of three natural gingers, subtle botanicals, and pure cane sugar create an authentic, refreshing taste and aroma.

Made of a blend of complmentary gingers, including Fresh Ginger and Nigerian from Afican and Cochin Ginger sourced from India. Nigerian Ginger has an aromatic intensity to it that adds depth to the ginger flavour and perfectly complements the fresh zesty notes of the Fresh Green Ginger and the rich, chocolately notes of the Cochin Ginger.

Aged for 14 years in a single cask, the Teeling Single Cask 14 Year Whiskey hails from Dublin's esteemed Teeling Distillery. Its rich golden hue and enticing aromas of honeyed malt and dried fruits give way to a complex blend of caramel, toffee, and baking spices on the palate, culminating in a satisfying finish. Each bottle is unique, reflecting the character of its individual cask, making it a prized addition to any whiskey collection.

As great whiskey makers throughout the world from Kentucky to Scotland have long known, it takes sweet water from tough rock to make great whiskey. And, that's what Widow Jane Whiskey is all about.

When rye comes off the still it is sweet, grassy, and floral. A traditional 'spicy characteristic all come from the barrel. With this whiskey, our goal was to lightly oak and round out the rye distillate in our once-used 10-year bourbon barrels with added fresh cut oak staves.

The result is an intense flavor balanced with warm spice.
This is a light, tropical 'summer rye and makes for some great cocktails. A good bitter, or a splash of vermouth or ginger beer goes a long way.

The Tradition collection places the Hardy style, where smoothness is king, within the reach of every cognac connoisseur. Hardy VSOP charms the eye with its bronze colour and deep, attractive tints, and the nose with its fresh pear scents, leading into warmer walnut notes and spicy cinnamon hints. The flavors on the palate are quite simply perfectly balanced.

Maker Notes

Hand-crafted with Carolina Gold Rice and aged gently in charred white oak barrels, Bluffton Whiskey is a testament to what this town has been through. Spirit of Hven organic gin is a true handcrafted distilled gin produced from fresh botanicals which are infused for 24 hours with the finest quality organic grain spirit. Following infusion, distillation is carried out in the unique Hven copper pot stills. The special design incorporating both helmets, baskets, and columns promotes the development of a Fabulous organic distilled gin. Flavor
The gin holds clear citric notes, still smooth distinct tone of Mauritian Bourbon Vanilla and Cassia bark. Fresh Swedish junipers have a round character, well balanced with Cardamom and Calamus root. Sichuan pepper, Aniseed, and Guinea pepper give structure and edge. This gin has a surprisingly long smooth aftertaste with a gentle touch of Liquorice and cut hay.

To serve, either chill the bottle in the fridge and serve your cocktail up, pour over ice, or shake with ice and strain.
