On the nose, rich with spiced orange and lively blossom. On the palate, deep ginger syrup with a blast of salty sea spray, pepper and aromatic spice. The finish lingers with warm smoke and tingling black pepper.

The Breckenridge Distillery is the “World’s Highest Distillery”. Before cocktails were cocktails and even before Scotch was Scotch, Drambuie has been a premium Scotch liqueur at the heart of great cocktails. Though the exact recipe has been a closely guarded secret since it was brought to Scotland in 1745, for the past 200 years, Drambuie has been made with aged Highland whisky, heather honey, herbs and spices.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Round notes of rich peanut butter, roasted nuts and caramel with a slight note of banana on the end

Palate: Opens rich and sweet, quickly followed by notes of rich creamy peanut butter and warm whisky and finishing with lingering sweet banana notes.

Notes of clove, allspice, peppercorn, and cardamom. This spicy, cold weather gin takes a Negroni to a whole other level.

Sagamore Spirit Bottled in Bond straight rye whiskey marks our commitment to the highest levels of excellence and authenticity-furthering our mission to make Maryland distilled, aged, and bottled products. Enacted in 1897, the bottled in bond distinction is a marker of distilling quality and transparency. Featuring our first batch of whiskey distilled in Maryland, this 100-proof rye whiskey is a blend of two rye mash bills-a high rye and a low rye-showcasing flavors of rye spice from our grain, fruit and floral notes from our sour mash fermentation, and notes of toasty caramel from our barrel aging.

The Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 established that spirits with this designation must be a product of one distillation season; at one distillery; aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years; bottled at 100-proof; and produced in the United States.

This product was first introduced in November 2021 and is available now at our distillery and shipping to limited markets across the U.S. in November of 2022.

Architecture is defined as the art or practice of designing and constructing buildings.  Using those same principles, we wanted to build new and distinct flavor profiles the same way an Architect creates new innovative structures.   

 Working in collaboration with Tonnellerie Radoux of France, the market leader in oak barrel manufacturing and innovation, we use French oak staves and their state-of-the-art OakScan process to build a truly precise flavor profile within every bottle.   After all, the best architecture leaves no room for error.
