Giffard Creme de Violette Liqueur

It is known for its medicinal properties and many benefits, including expectorant and anti-inflammatory. In the language of flowers, the violet symbolizes shy and secret love. The violet is often used in confectionery, and sometimes in pastry, for syrups, liqueurs and in perfumery. Created in the 19th century, crème de violette peaked at the end of the century. Today, popular cocktails made with crème de violette include Aviation and Blue Moon.
