There, at the revered Suntory Yamazaki Distillery near Kyoto, Shinji nurtured it in specially chosen French Oak wine casks and Spanish Oak sherry casks, adding rich nuances and a vibrant spiced finale. A select reserve further matured in sherry casks that once cradled Yamazaki Single Malt Japanese Whisky, contributing a full-bodied malty depth and intricate layers of flavor.
