Ron Barcel was founded in 1930 under the name Barcel & Co in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The rum brand quickly grew in popularity growing into one of the largest in the Dominican, and the brand is now exported world-wide to over 20 countries. Ron Barcelo Anejo Rum a superior blend from a select group of premium rums aged naturally for up to four years in American oak barrels.
Ron Barcelo Dorado Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Apple cobbler with bakers' spice, brown sugar highlighted by cashews and cherry. Savory thyme and cinnamon balanced by coconut.
Palate: Rich crme brule and molasses up front with dried apricot and pineapple, French vanilla bean reminiscent of toasted marshmallow, balanced by a hint of dry green olive midpalate.
Finish: Peppery winter spice with a hint of mint on the finish.

In 1950, after years of experimentation launching different brands in the local market, the company managed to reach its highest level in terms of product: launching the Ron Barcel brand with its Barcel Blanco and Dorado products, which immediately had a great welcome. About 20 years later, the company incorporated Ron Barcel Aejo into its portfolio. In 1974, Don Julin Barcel left the legacy of the business to his nephew Miguel Barcel. 6 years later, in 1980, Ron Barcel Imperial was born: the Premium Premium Rum of the Dominicans.
