Ron Barcelo Imperial Rum
In 1929, Julin Barcel emigrated from Spain to Santo Domingo, founding Barcel & Co.in 1950, Barcel Blanco and Dorado gold Rum initiated the success of Ron Barcel brand, and the label has been growing rapidly ever since. Ron Barcel distills their rum from 100% Dominican sugar cane juice. It is finished for two years in French oak, in a horizontal fashion in the rickhouses, compared to Barcel's traditional maturation process utilizing bourbon barrels, aged in a vertical fashion. This 10-year-old rum, this has premium rum notes combined by spicy kicks of bourbon overpowering the spirits latent sugar cane characteristics.
