Detailed Description
A single malt released under the Tullamore DEW label, triple distilled in the Irish tradition and then finished in a range of different casks: bourbon, oloroso sherry, port and madeira. The result is a complex and spicy whiskey with creamy and fruity notes.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Vibrant and lively with incredible fruitiness. Ripe apples, sweet citrus and hints of tropical fruit all enveloped in Vanilla Oak.
Palate: Beautifully rich and sweet with layers of fruit, oak and subtle spice.
Finish: Sherried sweetness carries on.
Distillery Information
The Tullamore Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery located in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. Built by William Grant & Sons at a cost of 35 million, the distillery officially opened in September 2014. It is the first new distillery to have been constructed on a greenfield site in Ireland in over 100 years, and the first to operate in Tullamore since 1954.
