Diplomtico Ambassador is an exquisite rum crafted from the distillery's best rums, and aged in white oak barrels for a minimum of twelve years and until optimal maturity is achieved.

After, the rums are finished for two additional years in Pedro Ximnez sherry casks, contributing to this rum's complex sensory profile. Diplomtico Ambassador is bottled directly from the barrel in order to preserve the full expression of its organoleptic properties.

Diplomtico Single Vintage is crafted from a selection of special rum reserves that evolved in an exceptional way, drawing the interest of the Maestros Roneros for their distinctive character. This special liquid is separated from the rest of the reserves for its uniqueness, and to be shared with rum enthusiasts. Distilled in vintage copper pot stills in the year indicated on the label, the rum is then aged in bourbon and single malt whisky casks for twelve years.

After the aging process, the Maestros Roneros carefully blend the rum in order to obtain the structure, body, personality, flavors and aromas that they are looking for. Finally, the rum spends a year in Spanish sherry casks to provide the perfect finish.

Diplomtico Reserva Exclusiva is an elegant and complex sipping rum, carefully crafted from the purest of sugar cane honeys. It is delicately distilled in ancient copper pot stills and aged in small oak casks for us to twelve years. Marrying a unique body with excellent balance has made it a reference fir rum lovers and connoisseurs throughout the world.

DON JUANCHO THE MAN BEHIND OUR LOGO

Don Juan Meléndez (“Don Juancho”) is the legendary figure who inspired the creation of Diplomático.

According to local stories, he was a Mantuano – a local nobleman – passionate for exploring the sources, ingredients, and methods behind the many alluring flavors of rum and other traditional beverages. It is said he became famous for his impressive collection of beverages known as “the Ambassador’s Reserves”, which he was keen to share with his closest friends, guided by his chivalry and authentic personality. Today, Diplomático rums carry Don Juancho’s portrait, and the brand is driven by the passion and values that were his hallmark.

Crafted from special reserves that have evolved in an extraordinary way, collating them into vintage batches from one single year of distillation. After aging, Single Vintage rum is placed in sherry barrels to provide the perfect finish.

TASTE PROFILE
