El Tesoro Reposado is aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for nine to eleven months. This careful process creates a sweet, complex and agave-forward flavor.

Today El Tesoro is still made honoring the same traditional methods that have been passed down through generations. El Tesoro Aejo is aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for two to three years. This process allows the spirit to maintain the complexion of agave, yet take on a hint of sweetness with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak.

Aroma: Floral jasmine, oaky character with agave notes

Taste: Sweet agave balanced with pepper, oak and floral tones

El Tesoro Blanco is an unaged spirit that is immediately bottled after distillation. It is double distilled to proof and captures the essence of highland agave.

EL TESORO 85TH ANNIVERSARY

To create this unparalleled expression, we worked with our friend and Jim Beam Master Distiller, Fred Noe, aging our tequila in the legendary Booker’s 30th anniversary barrels for over three years. The result is a complex spirit layered with sweetness, oak, and cooked agave. It’s a tequila deserving of the legacies that brought it to life.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, cherries, seasoned oak, leather, spices, molasses, vanilla, toffee and a touch of maple syrup.

Palate: Sweet, liquorish, cooked agave, black berries, oak, almonds, banana, tobacco, spices, coffee, caramel and pepper.

Finish: Sweet, long & creamy, with a touch of spices.

El Tesoro tequila is the treasure of Jalisco, created in celebration of Don Felipe's most precious asset: his agaves. El Tesoro Extra Aejo is rested in ex-bourbon barrels by Carlos's father, Don Felipe J. Camarena Orozco and aged 4-5 years, El Tesoro Extra Aejo is a unique treasure with outstanding flavors. The taste is smooth and very well-balanced. Coffee and dark chocolate are present, followed by dry fruits and roasted almonds. The finish brings forward a hint of pepper with an oak flavor. 

El Tesoro Paradiso is slowly aged for five years in French oak ex-Cognac barrels. Created by Don Felipe Camarena in collaboration in with Alain Royer of A. de Fussigny Cognac, this unique tequila has an earthy taste with a hint of minerality, tropical characteristics, and sweet notes of butterscotch.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale straw with golden notes.Full bodied and well-rounded with essential oils.

Nose: Cooked agave, peat, vanilla, caramel, and sea salt, with light notes of citrus, cardamom, and leather.

Palate: Cooked agave, butterscotch, black pepper, spices, and seasoned oak, with notes of citrus, peat smoke, and sea salt.

Finish: Long, with lingering oak and spices, peaty and salty.
