In 1870, Maurice Hennessy created Hennessy X.O for his circle of friends and introduced a new style of cognac.  Hennessy X.O is the Original, the emblematic icon of the Hennessy Maison. Deep and powerful, the eaux-de-vie of this Hennessy X.O cognac are aged in young barrels and marked out by their power and energy, but also by their capacity to achieve a great roundness through time. Our Tasting Committee has explored every facet of the blend and identified several emotions that were assimilated to an Odyssey through 7 chapters:

Sweet Notes: The palate is warmly embraced by flavors of candied fruit.

Rising Heat: The intriguing sensation of an intense, rising heat slowly reveals the complex taste of eaux-de-vie patiently aged in oak barrels.

Spicy Edge: Perception of a strong spicy cognac note, tantalising the lips and palate with its distinct peppery flavor intertwined with a hint of chocolate. 

Flowing Flame: A wave of warmth grows, crests and then breaks. A robust presence, full and voluptuous, is felt. 

Chocolate Lull: There is the gradual discovery of something very familiar. It is the well-rounded flavor of a rich, dark chocolate.

Wood Crunches: A striking sensation is suddenly felt – the vigorous ebb and flow of oak notes interlaced with vanilla.

Infinite Echo: The evanescent oak notes leave a long, omnipresent finish in their wake. Seemingly endless, it echoes all of the subtleties of each taste and sensation that has preceded it.

The result is a beautiful rum reminiscent of the past. Golden amber in the glass with notes of butterscotch, toffee, mocha and plum waft through the air when nosing the liquid. On the palate, the liquid is initially spicy, followed up by rich, dried fruits, dark chocolate and oak. History in a glass, this new addition to The Master Blender Collection is one to seek out to celebrate the continuation of a legacy.

Double Oak Rye Whiskey: After aging our straight rye whiskey for 4 to 5 years in high-char new American oak barrels, our distillers transfer the aged whiskey into toasted wave stave barrels for an additional 18 months. The increased surface area of the low-char, medium-plus-toast staves imparts Double Oak's delightful caramel, toffee, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. Our classic Maryland-style rye whiskey is reimagined through this innovative aging process and then proofed with limestone-filtered water from our spring house built in 1909. The final spirit is a shining example of old meeting new.

This brilliant and lively Champagne illuminates the King's Path. Our Brut is made with grapes from only the finest vineyards in Champagne, France that have matured to peak ripeness. After pressing, the wine I aged over four years, and on the lees to create a balance of bright and crisp acidity with notes of ripe stone fruits. This wine has a subtle, pale gold color with fine, persistent bubbles. It is delicate, from the majority of Chardonnay, with apricot, white peach, eucalyptus on the nose and flavors of stone fruit, toasted brioche, bay leaf and white cherries on palate. The crisp finish highlighted with subtle notes of citrus and minerals for a refreshing mouthfeel.

The King's Path
This gleaming and vibrant pink Champagne illuminates The King's Path. Chemin du Roi Ros is made from grapes grown in some of the finest vineyards in Champagne. Aged for over 4 years on it 's lees to create a crisp and smooth Champagne, notes of strawberries, and black currants shine on the palate. The small and delicate bubbles create an elegant mouthfeel that has a crisp finish that maintains its structure and balance. We take great pride in delivering a flawless taste of victory with a Rose Gold symbol of the King on every bottle.

All Hail The King
The color is a gentle pink with salmon notes. The fine, elegant nose offers ripe black cherry fruit supported by lightly toasted notes in the mouth. The flavors are full and well-rounded with aromas of red fruit opening up. There are light, minty notes under lined by a touch of grilled almond that pop on the palate. The crisp finish gives the wines a fresh and clean lift.

Normally, 60% of a Whisk(e)y's flavor comes from the wood. This is enhanced even more so by the extra aging period, so Stephanie decided to place this blend in ex-Caribbean rum casks to finish their maturation. This specific cask finishing beautifully complements the classic Dewar's house style, creating a complex, yet harmonious blend.
