Stauning Smoke is the quintessence of the distillery's innovative New Nordic-whisky philosophy: Made from pure local ingredients, malted on open floors, smoked over peat and heather found in the landscape surrounding Stauning, double-distilled in small flame-heated pot stills and finally aged on 1st Fill wine and spirits casks.

The result is an elegant and refined whisky with a gentle smoky taste and a complex character that oozes of the dunes, the heath and the wind by the North Sea.

Barrel Strength pushes the boundaries of our signature four grain balanced flavor profile. Each batch is blended from three bourbon mash bills aged in new American oak barrels and completely uncut and non chill-filtered. Each barrel was hand selected and blended into a single batch in order to create this unique offering.

From time to time, our Master Distiller hand selects a few exceptional barrels from our 10 Bourbon recipes for these special releases. Each is non-chill filtered and barrel strength, so you get to savor them exactly as they come out of the barrel. Some of the best Bourbons we’ve ever put in a bottle, our Limited Edition bottlings are just that – limited. So, be sure to ask your favorite bar or liquor store when they are released. Find them. As dark as a cloud of bats from under the Congress Ave bridge, The Kraken is a spiced rum blended with natural flavors and caramel color. If reports are true, Houston definitely has a problem, as its tentacles have stretched across the Lonestar state, riding fences and keeping Austin weird.

This beautifully aged spirit boasts notes of oak, fruity undertones, honey and vanilla underpinned by cooked agave. There is a smooth harmony on the palate, not unlike what shows in some very fine bourbons.

Aniseed or saunf as it’s known in India, was first discovered in the Mediterranean. Every sip of the Smoke Aniseed makes for a playful exploration of a much-loved Indian herb. Refreshing notes of fennel and liquorice will keep you coming back for more.

Each very small batch (less than 50 barrels) of Calumet Farm 8 Year Old Bourbon is crafted from hand-selected barrels of premium Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Tasting Notes

Color: Deep amber with golden highlights

Nose:  A full, rich aroma of aged oak with deep undertones of vanilla

Taste:  A hint of vanilla and fruit upfront rolls into soft notes of white pepper and a full woody taste

Finish:  A balanced sweetness lingers as a rich yet subtle caramel flavor fades away warming the entire palate as it retreats

Since 1887, the production of Clément rum has been carried out according to the traditions and time- honored methods inherited from Homère and Charles Clément. Clément Blanc is an approachable and highly mixable rum perfect for cocktails. “Rhum Agricole” is distilled from sugarcane juice as is typical in Martinique and proudly wears the “AOC Martinique” designation signifying an exemplary degree of expertise in every stage of production.

Tasting Notes

Maturation: rested in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and gradually reduced over time

Nose: Sweet and vegetal with hints of black tea.

Palate: Soft and graceful with a notes of fresh cut grass and green beans.

This ten-year-old Bottled in Bond bourbon was aged in Warehouse C, built by Col. Taylor in 1885, and the barrel warehouse he was most proud of – the final piece in his “model distillery.”  Like some of the previous releases, this one-time-only bottling of E.H. Taylor, Jr Warehouse C Bourbon is very limited.   

 The barrels in the E.H. Taylor Jr. Warehouse C release were all aged for ten years in the center of Warehouse C, with half of them coming from the 2nd floor and the other half from the 5th floor.  The second floor is an outstanding aging floor for older barrels.  The ricks are very tight, making it slow and difficult to put in new barrels.  The floor is very dry, making it ideal for 10 to 15-year-old products.  The fifth floor of Warehouse C is a well-rounded aging floor with windows all the way around, providing excellent air flow throughout the floor.  There is ample sunlight through these windows which helps heat up the warehouse and the aging process.  

The ideal aging locations for these barrels led to a wonderful flavor combination, with a nose of cherry cobbler with rum sauce and a hint of oak; a palate of cherry cola, vanilla bean and toasted oak; and a finish that is long and lingering with a hint of spearmint, coffee, raisin bread and anise.

Sherry casks

The distillery uses Sherry cask types, including Fino, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. These casks give the whisky notes of tart cherry, golden raisin, fig, caramelized plum, brown sugar and spice.

Aged a minimum of four years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in former Spanish Sherry casks.

This whisky showcases its natural color and is not chill filtered.

Hand-hammered copper pot stills crafted in Scotland are used to distill our spirit using time-honored techniques. What makes us a distinctly American whisky, and defines our signature taste, is our unique combination of casks aged in Virginia’s climate. Aging in exceptional casks adds intensity and complexity to the spirit.

Cuvée casks 

This innovative barrel is sourced from premium European red wine producers. After the wine is removed, the cask is broken down, the interior shaved, re-toasted and re-charred, and then put back together again. The re-toasting and re-charring of the cask energizes the wood sugars and brings forward barrel spice, bright red fruit and toasted pecan.

Aged a minimum of four years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in specialty Cuvée wine casks. The casks originate from premium red wine producers, and the interior is shaved, re-toasted and re-charred before putting spirit into the cask for maturation.
