Our 15 Year Old marries two very different cask types in one outstanding dram. With half spending it’s life in American oak embodying Glen Moray's classic style, the other half maturing in oloroso sherry casks resplendent with rich spice, we bring their contrasting styles together to craft intensely complex layers. With tastes of dried fruits, dark chocolate and spice, amplified by age, this Scotch whisky is a perfect treat for single malt lovers eager to discover more.

Virgil Kaine started with one goal – to create the best damn whiskey around. Drawing on their culinary know-how, and driven by flavor, founders David Szlam and Ryan Meany, both accomplished chefs, were inspired to boldly blend, infuse and tinker with choice ingredients to craft category-shattering whiskeys. Proving that it’s not about stuffy tradition, but about taking what you know and taking chances.

Each of their spirits is a tribute to their dedication to making whiskey their way. A whiskey they’d want to drink.

Founded by two accomplished chefs, Virgil Kaine started with a simple idea: Let’s take our culinary know-how and use it to make great-tasting whiskey.

Spurred on by the latest infusing and maceration tricks and techniques, chefs David and Ryan source the best ingredients and apply the experimentation of a professional kitchen to the art of whiskey making. Everything is just a means to create the most delicious whiskeys they know – regardless of what the industry expects.

True to their Southern roots, they’re honest, unpretentious whiskey makers that aim to be as approachable as they are premium. Sure, they buck the system, but Virgil Kaine Lowcountry Whiskey is for the whiskey lover looking for something a little different, a little rebellious, and above all – damn tasty.

VIRGIL KAINE GINGER INFUSED BOURBON

Our original spirit has its own original spirit. This small batch creation puts a fresh twist on classic Southern bourbon. Starting with our full-bodied Lowcountry libation, we add a touch of heirloom ginger harvested just thirty miles from where it’s bottled. A single sip reveals a hint of vanilla with an ultra-smooth, well-balanced taste and sweet finish only found south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Over the past several years, Barrell Dovetail has become a well-known expression within our portfolio of products and the Whiskey world. Recently, we became intrigued with applying the concept of "Dovetail" to some of our older stocks.

The result is BCS Gray Label Dovetail, which still boasts our award-winning blend of Whiskey finished in rum, port and Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Barrels and uses the same finishing and blending method. The difference however, as with all our Gray Label offerings, is that we used older and more rare barrels.

The result harmoniously unites a dark and fruity California cabernet finish, a jammy and pleasurable port finish, and a sweet and funky rum finish to create a well-balanced, iconic whiskey. The component whiskeys are aged up to 20 years, making the final blend significantly more elegant.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Warm Amber.

​Nose: Green grape, tart apple, and pollen lead into one very vivid note of just-pressed cider. The notes of gooseberry jam, cranberry sauce, and dried apricot are pronounced and defined. Maple walnut ice cream, tahini, and leather provide a subtle, savory undertone.

​Palate: Robust and impeccably balanced, with flavors ranging from strawberry rhubarb pie to fennel pollen. Flan and coconut oil provide a rich and creamy texture that balances some light sandy tannin and modest astringency. Depth seems to come mostly from the oldest Canadian whiskeys, in the form of fennel, poppy seed and peppercorn. Allspice, ginger, and cola notes from the French and American oak round it out.

​Finish: A burst of licorice candy and molasses gives way to
Earl Grey Tea with honey. The palate is left with a range of dusty mineral notes, among them necco wafers, oyster shell, and squid ink.

​With a splash of spring water: Classical notes of crème brulée and funnel cake take the lead. The complexity here is more savory, with shiso, tomato, and tajin. An unexpected burst of lychee on the finish yields to charcoal and paraffin.

• Don Camilo Extra Anejo Organic Tequila is a unique and rare Organic tequila, only 94 barrels of it are available.
• Aged for at least 8 years in Kentucky Bourbon barrels.
• The quality and taste profile are of the finest quality. Dark brown color, full body, an exceptional bouquet of exotic fruits, vanilla and oak aromas, strong firm taste, with long, yet gentle aftertaste.

• Every detail was carefully considered when crafting this tequila: the finest quality organic agave plants with the highest sugar content, the cold distillation process in order to preserve the best tequila flavors, the specially selected bourbon barrels, the 8 long years of maturation at Fabrica de Tequilas cellars under controlled humidity, and, finally, a single-barrel cask-strength bottling.

Maker Notes

We are delighted to introduce you to a new nautical member of our little herd Bertha’s Revenge Navy Strength Gin. We have raised the ABV to a lip-pursing 57.1%, and have shuffled the botanical blend slightly to accentuate one or two of the more pronounced flavour notes. The extra strength gives our merry crew of spices a megaphone through which to convey their message, which is a smooth and as well-balanced as you would expect from a cow riding at anchor.

Bertha’s Navy Strength gin tastes divine when sipped over ice. She is also an excellent base to gin-forward cocktails, especially a Gimlet.

About the Brand

Inspired by a passion for tradition, born as a tribute to a queen, crafted with a desire for perfection. The story of Royal Salute is unlike any other whisky.

In 1953, the young Princess Elizabeth ascended the throne. The occasion called for a tribute fit for a queen and so an exquisite blend was created using whisky from Strathisla, the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It was given the name Royal Salute – after the famous 21-gun-salute – and so began the story of a remarkable whisky.

Royal Salute Chinese New Year Limited Edition 21 years Old Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky

The Chinese New Year Special Edition, featuring our iconic 21 Year Old Signature Blend, was designed to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.

The illustration features traditional Chinese symbols including the dragon and lucky knotwork to bring you and your family health and prosperity in the coming year.

Aromas of sweet pears and citrus fruits are balanced with notes of autumn flowers. Aromas of sweet vanilla and oak are enhanced with notes of sherry and smoke.

The taste brings rich spices and hazelnut, with sweet orange marmalade flavours infused with fresh pears.

Made from predominantly Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grape varieties, this Pineau Des Charentes Blanc AOC from Jules Gautret is clean, well-balanced, fruity, and light.  
On the nose, you'll experience peach, honey, and faint lime blossom. And on the palate, a delicate flavor of honey, pear, spiced apricot, orange peel, and fresh mango which gives it just a slight touch of zest. An attractively light, smooth, and subtly spicy Pineau des Charentes with a sweet lift on the finish.

Serve chilled from the refrigerator. Very handy as a base for summer cocktails. Also excellent with red fruits (strawberries, berries), pastries, and chocolate.
An aperitif wine, 17% alc/vol.

Once opened, Pineau Des Charentes can keep for up to at least 6 months if refrigerated.

Made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grape varieties, this Pineau Des Charentes Rouge AOC is a clear, pale salmon color.  Surprising flavors of sultana, butterscotch, and fruitcake. Fresh and fruity with flavors of ripe cantaloupe, golden raisin, orange salmonberry, dried cranberry, and dried candied orange slices.

Serve chilled from the refrigerator.  Very handy as a base for summer cocktails. Also excellent with red fruits (strawberries, berries), pastries, and chocolate. An aperitif wine, 17% alc/vol.

Once opened, Pineau Des Charentes can keep for up to at least 6 months if refrigerated.

Aromas of baked pastries, like raspberry and plum tart. Flavors of rich baked red apple, black cherries and plum along with vanilla and cinnamon on the palate. Flavors of sultana, fruitcake, light butterscotch, honey, caramel, and toffee. Complex and fruity with an aromatic finish.

Serve chilled from the refrigerator.  Very handy as a base for summer cocktails. Excellent served with pastries and anything chocolate!

OUR RUM

DELIGHTFUL ABOVE ALL

When we say our rums are “crafted,” here’s what we really mean: We focused on doing one thing, really well, and then we focused on it some more. We don’t make anything else, because… well, sometimes one thing is delightful enough to fill up your glass. That’s not exactly a new idea — but it is a good one. 

CRAFTED IN SAN DIEGO

You know how you know when something is “just right”? When you’ve filled a 400-square-foot apartment with jars of sugar and yeast — for 3 years — to find the one with the perfect balance. We don’t do well with shortcuts. We do well with making delicious rum.

QUALITY INGREDIENTS

When it comes to rum, sugar, and yeast are dance partners — and they dance together for quite a while. The right recipe only makes the right rum when you choose the perfect dancers and give them the floor. Our sugar cane syrup is special. It’s hard to make. The process has been the same, following the same tradition for 111 years, and it’s worth the extra trouble. To it, we add heritage yeast. Economical, it is not. But when it gets together with the sugar cane syrup, something magical happens. And that’s how we get a nuanced, flavorful silver rum worth spending an evening with.

HANDMADE COPPER POT STILLS

It’s a whole wondrous world of distillation in there. Where many commercial rums choose an automated, continuous distillation method in a Column Still, Clever Fox comes from handmade copper stills. It’s how we get cleaner, smoother flavors, for an overall tastier rum. We take our cuts by hand, in small batches. What emerges is quality, not quickness — but then, why on Earth would you do something you love quickly?

A very clever idea, indeed.

When you’re living the really good stuff, your senses take over. You know the stuff: it’s piano chords, a hug you’ve been waiting so long to give, and time with old friends. It’s the moments that get to just be moments, with no fuss. It’s when life just… flows. We all deserve more of that. And we’re in the business of making those moments a little less rare and a little more delightful.

Why Rum? Because we loved making it so much, we couldn’t imagine not sharing it. And because we happen to think it’s always the perfect shortcut to making memories. It takes time and cares to make a great-tasting white rum, and this recipe was three years in the making. Distilled by hand in small batches from fresh, all-natural Louisiana sugar cane syrup, filtered San Diego water, and secret heritage yeast from San Francisco.

We aged our 5- and 6-year-old straight rye whiskies in hand-selected barrels from South America and Jamaica for an additional 10 months and then blended them back together. The Jamaican rum barrels contribute notes of ripe banana and bright pineapple, balanced by the rich vanilla and brûléed sugar character of the South American rum barrels-a unique combination enhancing the spice of our rye. Our Sagamore Spirit Reserve Series celebrates the legacy of Maryland distilling, with an unyielding focus on excellence from start to finish.

About the Brand

The Herrera Brothers built their distillery high in the Sierra del Tigre mountains of Jalisco, Mexico, where the hot days and cool nights would allow for a unique aging process. Then they said adios to traditions once again, distilling their spirits in stainless stills instead of copper, and again them in new American oak casks.

Vinification
Harvested by hand, the selection of ripening grapes in Freixenet's vineyards reaches across the span of several months. From the end of August for the harvest of the warm weather Macabeu grapes, through the beginning of October for the higher elevation Parellada variety, our winemaker awaits the perfect time to gather each bunch, letting the vines tell him when they are ready. The first fermentation is nurtured in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 57°- 60°F. Exclusively initiated from our own Freixenet cultures, the first fermentation is introduced into the tanks. After 10 to 12 days, the wine is racked and clarified as the blend is readied for bottling. The secondary fermentation finds the bottles of Cordon Negro cradled in the perfectly chilled caves for up to 18 months.

Palate
Cordon Negro Brut is a crisp, clean and well-balanced 'cava' sparkling wine. The fresh palate of apple, ripe pear and bright citrus flavors combine with a long finish and an exciting touch of ginger.

Serving suggestions
Pair Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut with anything from Eggs Benedict to seafood, such as lobster or bluefin tuna. It is also the perfect pre-prime rib cava selection for oyster, caviar, or sushi appetizers.

THE VOYAGE

A boat is a singularly uncommon place to age bourbon, but inspiration struck Trey on the deck of his friend Chris Fischer’s research ship. While watching Jefferson’s bourbon rock gently in its bottle, they wondered what would happen to bourbon aged on the bow of a ship. The rest, as they say, is history. The constant movement of the ocean and extreme temperature fluctuations as the ship traversed the globe completely transformed the whiskey. The result is a hyper-aged, darker, richer and caramelized bourbon with incredible depth and complexity.

CAPTAIN’S LOG

The driving force behind OCEAN Voyage 24 was to introduce a New Experiment to the Jefferson’s OCEAN franchise. On all other voyages, the bourbon traveled across the equator several times, experienced hot and cold weather in the North Atlantic and South Pacific and seas that ranged from calm to violent. The OCEAN Voyage 24 Experiment would test the effect of high heat, all the time. OCEAN Voyage 24 spent all of its time at sea in the Caribbean where the air temperatures were always hot. The containers on board served as “Heat Ovens” as the bourbon visited exotic ports of call throughout the Caribbean and Central America. Throughout the voyage, the humidity was tropical and the average temperature inside the containers was 93.82° F, reaching a maximum of 124.52° F.

Storm activity in the Caribbean started earlier than normal, went dormant for a while then came back strong with eight named tropical depressions thus far. Storm Elsa crossed our path but all other activity passed to the north or west of the course. The waters surrounding Voyage 24 were for the most part quiet but, the sea is never still. The constant motion of the water, tropical humidity and high heat encountered during the Voyage 24 experiment has resulted in a bourbon that is both unique and exotic. Caramelization and enhanced tones of vanilla extracted from the wood give it a sweet taste, mellow pallet and laid back finish. We are thrilled with how the OCEAN Voyage 24 experiment turned out and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Pour a glass and enjoy OCEAN Caribbean style.

Irish Mist was the first liqueur to be produced in Ireland at Tullamore, County Offaly. The company history goes back to 1829 when the Tullamore Distillery was founded to produce Irish whiskey.

Irish Mist is a blend of Irish whiskey, honey and natural aromatic spices. It was the first liqueur to be produced in Ireland and, while the bottle has changed a number of times over the years, the liqueur itself has remained true to its origins – the recipe has not changed, so you can be sure of the warming whiskey and honeyed sweetness, beautifully counter balanced by aromatic spices, that gives Irish Mist its wonderfully complex flavor and taste experience.
