Developed in collaboration with Country singer/songwriter Mark Taylor, Steel String Whiskey is a unique, limited edition spirit.

Steel String Whiskey is a California Bourbon Whiskey with the soft edges of Tennessee summer evening. Steel String Whiskey aged in New American Oak, finished in lightly toasted French oak with just a hint of honey. Layering a soft honey/butterscotch finish over deep intense dark chocolate, coffee and maple syrup, Steel String is a smooth and soulful luxury sipping whiskey.

A stunning natural violet blue liquid with a fresh citrus nose. Notes of clementine and prickly pear create a one-of-a-kind combination of the tastiest tropical and subtropical fruits. A finish of strawberry, watermelon, honeydew melon, fig, and banana marry perfectly with a crisp agave undertone. Long, rich and refreshing flavor.

Broken Barrel Mizunara is a true tale of East meets West. This artisanal whiskey blends American corn with Japanese mizunara oak staves. Both are matured together for a rare yet balanced combination. 

Mizunara, literally translates to “water oak.” This oak has become increasingly popular with the global growth of whiskey, and the majority of this oak is now sourced from Mongolia. It has a high moisture content and is much more porous than other commonly used oaks for barrel making. Making barrels out of Mizunara is quite challenging according to many coopers, as the porous properties of the casks are prone to leaking.

Our whiskey, as a result of using this most interesting oak for our Oak Bill™ resulted in a rich, harmonious blend that is both quintessentially American in sweetness and character, while still notably Japanese-styled in its mellow smooth finish. Broken Barrel Mizunara Whiskey is exceptionally flavorful and unforgettably clean tasting - a whiskey meant to be sipped, savored, and most importantly - shared.

Maker Notes

Our pioneering pink gin is sweet, flavorful and floral. Originally created for Valentine’s Day, it was loved by so many we decided to make it a permanent expression!

Our Head Distiller crafts Love Gin using raspberries and strawberries from Fife Fruits who are based at Tarvit Home Farm – just a 15-minute drive from our distillery. Alongside this, he uses goji berries, red rose petal and rhubarb root among other botanicals. This gin has a beautiful pink blush color and packs sweet vanilla and floral notes with a fruity finish.

Nose: Touch of warm spiced berries - strawberry, raspberries with sweet vanilla, and green fruits. Finishing with very delicate citrus pink grapefruit and floral rose petals.

Taste: Taste of rhubarb spice and sweet strawberries with vanilla, finishing with green apple citrus and a hint of rose water.

Finish: Sharp, sweet, and fruity with soft vanilla notes.

Best served with a premium tonic or rose lemonade and garnished with a handful of raspberries.

Mars Shinshu is Japan's highest whisky distillery, at 798 meters just over 2,600 feet nestled between Japan's Southern and Central Alps. Mars Shinshu is owned by the Hombo family, who have been in the business of distillation for over a century. Whisky became a part of the Mars Shinshu production line up in 1949. In 1984, Shinshu decided to move their southernmost Kyushu distillery to the picturesque alpine Miyada village, where the high altitude and cool climate make for suitable conditions for whisky-making. The whisky is produced from waters that pass through granite rock, this water is high in natural minerals. This whisky is named after Kiichiro Iwai, known as "The Silent Pioneer of Japan Whisky," and the former mentor of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka and Suntory Whisky. Iwai sent Taketsuru to Scotland to learn the art of whisky-making. Taketsuru returned to Japan, presenting a whisky-making report the Taketsuru Notes to Iwai. Taketsuru was the first Japanese to learn the art of whisky-making. Mars Shinshu's whiskies continue to be some of the most inexpensive Japanese whiskies on the market, and they are full of high-quality character and complex flavor. Iwai Tradition is a blended whisky, comprised of both single malts, grains, and blended whiskies. Mars Iwai 45 is a higher proof version the original spirit, distilled from a high corn mash of 75% corn, and 25% barley aged in ex-Bourbon casks delivering a unique flavor profile with a distinctive bourbon influence.

The GlenDronach Port Wood is inspired by the historical import of casked port into Scotland during the 19th century. During the 1800s, port was ‘de rigueur’, and many of the finest port pipes would travel from Portugal, down its Douro River, destined for the wine cellars of Scotland’s gentry. Whilst many years have passed, Portugal’s majestic Douro Valley is still renowned for its exceptional port. We have selected some of its finest port pipes to house The GlenDronach for a second maturation period of three years. Our Master Blender has expertly combined the whisky from these port pipes, to create a fruit-filled ten-year-old expression, with layers of ripe berries rolling into its signature long, lingering finish.

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Intense cherry wood

NOSE: Breathe in delightful waves of Victoria plum, bramble and strawberry jam with top notes of cherry blossom and honeysuckle on a base of sandalwood and ginger.

PALATE: Layers upon layers of rich fruits. Sip blackberry and roasted apple crumble with freshly baked gingerbread, developing into a baked orange and black cherry back-note.

CONCLUSION: Savour orange peel, sultana and cherry cake lingering into the richly fruity finish.

HOW IT'S MADE

Milled, mashed, fermented and distilled utilizing 100% rye grain, this spirit is matured for a minimum of two years in new oak barrels, then laid to rest in a former-fill cabernet barrel to impart a secondary finish. The result is a distinctive whiskey infused with the essence of fine red wine, creating a palate with complex notes of stone fruit, smoke, and spices. Dented Brick Limited Edition Barrel Finished Straight Rye Whiskey is brought to proof with artesian, limestone-filtered water sourced directly from the snowy and majestic Rocky Mountains, creating a unique flavor profile crafted from this pure and mineral rich water.

The Officer's Releases is a limited edition series that pays tribute to Admiral Rodney, a well-recognized British naval officer who distinguished himself in 1782 during one of the most memorable battles in the Caribbean, "The Battle of the Saintes". The first edition of the series, Admiral Rodney Officer's Releases N°. 1, is an artful blend in the tradition of Saint Lucian rum. This limited edition is distilled and matured in the tropical climate of Saint Lucia and expertly composed by Master Blender Evanius Harris.

DISTILLATION

Admiral Rodney Officer's Releases n ° 1 begins with rums extracted from the lowest extraction plate of ou r "Coffey Still", allowing for a magnificent body and balance of aromas that intensify and become more complex during aging.

AGING

The rum was placed into ex-Bourbon oak casks in 2006 and matured for 13 years, fol lowed by a finishing period in ex-Port barrels for 9 months.

TASTING NOTES

Bright mahogany hue in the glass. On the nose, there is an exotic combination of dried prunes, spicy vanilla, and toasted oak. The palate is intense with candied fruit, dark chocolate, licorice, and tobacco. The integrated oak gives definition and balance to an extended complex finish.

THE FRENCH REVOLUTION

Our namesake is the legendary poet and iconoclast François Villon (born in 1431), who penned some of France’s most enduring works before disappearing in the late 15th century.
