Before the hangars of Alameda Island were home to Hangar 1, they housed some of the Navy's top flying machines, like the Vought F4U Corsair, aka The Bentwing Bird. Today, we're still allying old European heritage and New American know-how, bringing together traditional techniques, California-native fruit and our own home-grown Spirit of Innovation in a blend of French and California Brandies.

Bentwing is a French Brandy made in the Chenin Blanc style, blended with a subtle floral Brandy distilled from a mix of California wine varietals. The final result is a brandy with notes of currant, dark brown sugar, honey and toasted oak. Recommended to drink neat, or in a classic Sidecar or Metropolitan.

An award-winning blend of fully-matured Lowland and Highland Agave. The seven-year-old agaves are cooked for a minimum of 35 hours.

Distilled twice, Anteel Blanco has rich, sweet notes of cooked agave, floral tones, and vibrant layers of tropical fruit.

Volume One of the Rye Project is in collaboration with Willett Family Estate.  The Volume One blend consists of a very low-rye (51%) whiskey aged for 6 years in new American oak, blended with a more aggressive 6 and 7 year Rye (74%) whiskey distilled by the Willett Distillery.  By design, this Rye blend reads sweeter than most Rye whiskies, while still being layered, spiced, and elegant on the back palate.  The custom cork top was inspired by the knob of a baseball bat that is a family heirloom of Jon Buscemi.  The textured label was created in partnership with a bespoke wine label producer in Sonoma County.  More info available in Special Projects.

Once a year, Long Island Spirits hand selects 5 our finest aged Bourbon Barrels and bottles fewer than a couple of hundred cases per batch. This high-rye straight bourbon whisky is aged between 4 and 7 years prior to receiving additional maturation in French Oak casks from local wineries that have been rinsed with high proof brandy. When the perfect flavor and balance are achieved, Happy Warrior is bottled straight from cask at 114 proof. Extremely limited releases are selected from the finest casks in the barrel warehouse.

Long Island Spirits, makers of Rough Rider, was established in 2007 as the first distillery on Long Island since the 1800's and became the 100th Distillery in the United States of America; today there are over 1,600 distilleries throughout the USA. Although Bourbon may be produced anywhere in the United States, it is most commonly associated with Bourbon County, Kentucky, where it has been produced since the late 18th century. Made from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the Bourbon Whiskey distillate must be aged in new, charred white oak barrels. Bourbon Whiskeys are bottled at eighty proof (40% abv) or higher and cannot contain any added color or flavor. A versatile spirit that can be sipped neat, with water or on the rocks, it also performs nicely added to cocktails like the Old Fashioned.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 032 began with a balance of two sets of barrels: a selection of 5 and 6-year-old barrels with a creamy and tropical profile and a selection of 6, 7 and 10-year-old barrels vatted for their complex, old, woody character. These two sets of barrels were slowly blended over three months. A small group of spice driven 7-year-old barrels with notes of cinnamon toast, coffee bean and chocolate were then carefully added to complete the blend. The result is a decadent and rich bourbon with layers of spice and nuttiness

This tepeztate expression comes from multiple batches of the rare agave, which grows wild off the mountainsides. The plant ages 25-30 years before harvesting and requires a 3rd distillation due to its low sugar content.
