Batch No. 4 has been aged for a minimum of 6 years in new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels. The result of this extended Double Oaked aging period is an American single malt that displays traits of something more classically produced in the Highlands of Scotland married with spicy attributes typically found in well aged American rye whiskey. This well rounded, complex whiskey is an incredible sipper for the die hard whiskey fan.

This wine incorporates choice fruit from vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from our organic estate vineyards to small rugged hillside sites of our partner growers. By blending these various lots, we create a rich panorama on the palate, a landscape of complexity and character that clearly depicts Napa Valley.

Our 2019 growing began with ample rainfall and lingering soil moisture. A warm, extended summer saw very few extreme heat events, with foggy mornings setting the stage for vibrant and expressive wines. The long, relatively mild finish to the season helped to preserve freshness and balance in the fruit with hang time that allowed for impressive color, structure and tannin. This is an exceptional vintage defined by well integrated acidity, dense texture, and great depth.

TASTING NOTES

Our 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet is expressive with aromas of dark cocoa, red berry, and dried herbs. The palate is lush and fruit-forward with hints of spice and leather. The tannin is polished—fully integrated and balanced through the lengthy finish.

Elementally Aged for a bolder, smoother flavour and infused with wild Matsutake, for a unique umami finish. This BEARFACE Wilderness Series edition is a one-of-a-kind whisky blend.

The Matsutake (or pine mushroom) is a unique wild ingredient. Rare around the world, but abundant here in Bear Country.

Our first limited edition batch uses foraged Matsutake mushrooms, that are cask-infused with selected BEARFACE whisky to release the subtle tastes and aromas.

To create this expression, we mature our whisky in hand-selected ex-wine casks and sherry pipes inside repurposed shipping containers in the Canadian wilderness. We call this ‘Elemental Ageing’, and it gives our whisky a bolder, smoother flavour.

NOSE: Sweet nuttiness, Nutmeg, Leafy earthiness

Taste: Saffron, Balsamic, Cranberry & apricot

Straight Rye Whiskey and Rosso Vermouth are blended into a Manhattan and then aged in oak barrels. After we taste and determine it is worthy to be labeled Barrelsmith, we then bottle at full strength, 35% ABV (70 proof). We source our aged whiskey from an award-winning distillery. Our own Rosso Vermouth is made from California wine grapes and natural flavors. Barrelsmith Orange Bitters are added after the barrel aging is complete to add a hint of a bright citrus taste. All-natural ingredients, no artificial flavors or colors added.

High West Campfire is the world’s finest blend of scotch, bourbon and rye whiskeys. The first batch of Campfire blended with 100% Hight west own-make rye.  A very unusual, distinctive, yet delicious whiskey.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Floral, fruity, bright and spicy, caramel, butterscotch, Light smoke and smoldering wood from a campfire the morning after, jasmine, chai tea, sandalwood, leather, tobacco, pine resin and toasted bread.

Taste: Vanilla, honey, toffee with some nice fruit, blueberries and black cherries, chai spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, orange zest, salty caramels, tobacco, gentle smoke!

Made from a mixture of high-rum aging and aged in American oak bourbon first use. as a result of careful elaboration process we obtain a light rum and a unique bouquet. Considered by many to be the perfect cup is ideal for taking it combined with cola and accompanied by a slice of lime.

Our loved Glögg Liqueur has found its way into numerous cocktails across the states. Made from only seven natural ingredients, glögg liqueur captures the spicy notes from cardamom, cinnamon and cloves and obtains balance from raisins and almonds. The citrus notes come from dried Seville orange peels and the balanced sweetness from pure cane sugar. Go old school Viking and serve it heated, or mix it in a chilled cocktail California style. Either way you win!

The botanicals are macerated for a period. The spices are then distilled separately and the distillate is blended back into the macerated product (which is where the color comes from) by a production process that combines both infusion and distillation.
