Tasting Notes

Nose
The nose is mellow yet vivid, immediately transporting you to the coast with fresh maritime aromas. Hints of clear sea air, crystal salt, and even a touch of edible seaweed are present, evoking the feel of a seaside walk. As these maritime notes fade, they give way to a delicate sweetness of light oak and vanilla, layered with a subtle herbal character. The fruity essence emerges with sherried undertones, suggesting a leisurely summer stroll through a lemon grove by the Sicilian coast.

Palate
On the palate, the whisky has a creamy, smooth texture that is thick and indulgent. The flavor profile is sweet and fruity, with bright hints of orange and lemon. This citrusy vibrance is complemented by creamy vanilla, a whisper of seaside salt, and a delicate, peppery oak spice. A small dash of water softens the edges while preserving the core flavors, offering an even smoother experience without diluting the complexity.

Writers’ Tears Double Oak is an exclusive Irish whiskey created using two woods and two styles of premium Irish whiskey. A blend of Single Pot Still and Single Malt Irish whiskey, aged in two types of wood – American Oak Bourbon Barrels from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac Casks from the Cognac Region in France. It is triple-distilled, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. This expression is made possible by a close collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland’s County Carlow and the Legaret family in Cognac, France.

Bouquet: Citrus, blood orange and classic notes of orange pith to create complexity.

Named after another lost distillery of Campbeltown (which once operated right next door to Springbank and whose warehouse now houses our bottling hall), Longrow was first produced in 1973 to provide a peaty, oily and robust component to a blend being created at the time. More heavily peated and double distilled, it has been a staple in the production calendar since the 1990s. Longrow Peated offers those who enjoy a heavily peated whisky the chance to enjoy a lingering, smoky taste that travels through the senses like the smoke billows from a kiln. Matured in Bourbon and Sherry Casks

Nose: Very creamy, vanilla custard. The smoke develops gradually, rather than overpowering the other aromas present. Toasted marshmallows, herbs and rich fruits appear over time.

Palate: Incredibly well balanced; rich and creamy with a slight medicinal hint. The smoke is always present, washing over the palate in waves, like the soft billows of smoke from the Kiln.

Finish: The gentle smoke lingers and lingers leaving you yearning for more.

One of the most revered of all agave species due to its scarcity and relatively small physical size, Tobalá agave has a growing period of up to 30 years. Banhez Tobalá is known for its intense aromatics and smooth flavor profile with tasting notes consisting of green mango, leather, and fresh green herbs.

Another funky expression where the proprietary Jamaican style rum brings depth and harmony to the final product while maintaining the lime and allspice notes that are expected from Falernums. This expression is a hand-crafted high quality falernum that will not only work in your classic Tiki cocktails – it will also work as a base and modifier in all kinds of cocktails.

Grade A fancy molasses, fermented using special rum yeast are blended with the spice infusion to bring the right level of Tiki to every bottle.

Maker Notes

Our Cabernet Sauvignon was the first wine we made. This is the wine that started it all, setting the exacting standards that we hold ourselves to for all of our varietals. Round and juicy, our Cabernet Sauvignon has flavors of blackberry, toasted hazelnut and cinnamon, complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak.

We love pairing this wine with well-seasoned meats like beef, pork, or lamb, and indulgent chocolate desserts.

The famous Faretti liqueur comes from northern Italy where wonderful biscotti cookies are baked in rustic brick ovens.  We invite you to enjoy its delicately layered taste which combines hints of nuts, citrus and fennel in a symphony of flavor.

Grand Love Reposado Tequila 750ml Ultra-Aged 100% Blue Agave Reposado Tequila grown in Jalisco's Highland region. Aged for 2 years in double-roasted white oak barrels. Fruity, herbal and minty bouquet with dashes of black pepper complimented with hints of caramel, chocolate and vanilla.

Our Tobala has a sweet, fruity nose, with a mango and cinnamon taste and long, extra smooth finish.

The pueblo is surrounded bya mountainous, tropical microclimate. We keep our production limited, to not mess with nature and to continue with the traditional way being very careful to never over harvest the Tobala and allow mother nature to do her job.

Maker Notes

Rum finished in spirits barrels that held maple syrup. Rich and complex with hints of smoky whiskey.

Mad River Maple Cask Rum begins its life as our First Run Rum, distilled from 100% demerara sugar. We trade barrels with syrup maker Al Wood, of Wood's Vermont Syrup Company, and he returns our rum barrels once he has finished crafting his rum barrel aged syrup. The First Run Rum is then transferred into these maple-cured barrels, and the result is a rum that is smooth and bright with a nose of tropical fruits and butterscotch flavors.
