To keep with the spirit of discovery that is at the heart of East Imperial, we travelled the world to find the purest, unfiltered spring water to create our Soda Water (aka Seltzer Water or Club Soda). A ship carrying spiced rum from the Caribbean was attacked by a monstrous Kraken. The Beast thrust upon the ship its massive limbs, plunging the vessel and the men on board into impenetrable darkness.

THE LONE SURVIVOR

All of the barrels of rum were destroyed except one, which was badly stained by the squid’s black ink. It was dubbed “The Kraken Rum.” It is now known as a liquid of unparalleled darkness.

Some time ago, Dr Bill began to imagine how he could capture the lavish flavours found in an ice cream parlour in a single malt, bringing out even more sweet and creamy vanilla-like flavours in Glenmorangie’s spirit. And after a host of experiments, he and Master Blender, Gillian Macdonald, united single malt aged in bourbon casks with our first whisky finished in high-vanillin casks. These new oak casks had been especially toasted to bring out more vanilla qualities; rippling with notes of ripe peaches, vanilla and coconut, A Tale of Ice Cream takes Glenmorangie’s sweet, fruity flavours to a decadent peak. This whisky’s pastel-toned presentation box evokes the mouth-watering hues, swirls of sauce, textures, and toppings found in the most luxurious ice cream parlours.

THE TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Bronze

AROMA: A burst of manuka honey, with lemon-flavoured butter candy, baking raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, toffee and a hint of spice. With a splash of water, there is vanilla crème anglaise, a hint of coconut and a suggestion of almond marzipan.

TASTE: The texture is thick, rich and creamy. It is followed by a huge burst of sweet and spicy flavours – brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet and desiccated coconut. Spices warm the palate, with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

FINISH: A long, lingering aftertaste combines hints of toffee apple, sweet popcorn and a note of aniseed.

Meletti 1870 embodies the essence of a classic Italian aperitivo. Its recipe combines three distinct distillates: sweet orange, bitter orange, and a blend of spices and herbs with pure spirits, resulting in a subtly bitter yet invigorating drink. Its remarkably intricate flavor journey begins with hints of sweet citrus, transitions into a bittersweet interlude, and culminates in nuanced notes of gentian, coriander, cinnamon, and clove. Traditionally enjoyed with a splash of club soda or mixed with vermouth and soda to craft an Americano, 1870 also offers myriad possibilities for inventive cocktail concoctions.

Grace O’Malley Irish Gin is distilled with a blend of 14 unique botanicals found in abundance on the wild west coast of Ireland. These include heather, wild thyme, red clover, blackthorn, bilberry and sea fennel. A true, traditional-style gin made with modern distilling techniques to capture flavour intensity.

Nestled near the village Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland inside the picturesque Glenlivet estate, at the heart of the Speyside region, sits Tomintoul Distillery. Tomintoul Distillery was built in 1964. The distillery uses traditional techniques that stretch back hundreds of years. The production is overseen by Master Distiller Robert Fleming, whose family has been making whisky in the Speyside Glenlivet region for four generations. Robert got his start in the whisky industry in 1974, where he gained experience from several different distilleries, before coming to Tomintoul, where he has been for over 20 years. Known as the "gentle dram," the distillery is surrounded by fresh air and pure water, these elements are imparted onto their whiskies, giving them a special Highland character. Tomintoul is made with natural ingredients and crafted with water sourced from the Ballantruan spring. Tomintoul uses unpeated barley to make their whiskies, with the exception of their Tomintoul Peaty Tang, a small batch peated malt made only twice a year. The purest middle part of the "run" and stored in a "spirit safe" which is under the control of "Her Majesty's Customs & Excise and so has to stay locked." The heads and tails of the spirit are re-distilled, while the pure middle bit goes back into casks to mature. Tomintoul is quite a sustainable outfit, very little gets wasted during production. Tomintoul uses oak wood for maturation, with about 2% of their whisky getting sent to the angels. They recycle the cold water used to cool the hot vapor that rises from the spirit to heat the wort. It is also mixed with the leftover barley husks and made into a syrup that is used to feed cattle. The remains that are left over after secondary distillation are also used as fertilizer for the next year's barley crop. Tomintoul has a solid core range of whiskies, aged from a 10-year-old to their vintage 1976 Single cask. The majority of Tomintoul expressions are made by meticulous marrying together of selected casks, with the exception of their Tomintoul Vintage cask, which is a single cask release. The Tomintoul 25 Year Old spent at least a quarter of a century in a selection of the finest ex-bourbon American oak casks.

The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Veuve Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine. To ensure the quality and continuity of the Yellow Label’s style, the blend can be created with up to 45 % reserve wines. Veuve Clicquot has the largest and the most varied collection of reserve wines (400 wines, aged up to 30 years).

The wine is characterized by a brilliant golden yellow color and a fine, persistent effervescence. Yellow Label Brut cuvée reveals an aromatic profile dominated by notes of white and yellow fruits like pear, apple, and peach. Hints of citrus fruits like mandarin and grapefruit blend harmoniously with gourmand aromas of brioche. Yellow Label Brut is structured by Pinot Noir, the true backbone of the wine. It offers flavors of pear, peach, and pastry enhanced by a touch of dried fruit from aging on lees, which gives it a true aromatic richness.

It is the foundation of 4 Copas pure agave taste with all impurities eliminated and none added from source to distillation. TASTING NOTES 

Color: Crystalline, silver color with light gray hues and heavy body.

Nose/Aroma: The first impression is sweet and balanced. The aromas present are butter, intense cooked agave, mint, delicate vanilla and white chocolate. Notes of black pepper and citrus like grapefruit and lemon, fresh fruit like pear and peach are developed to achieve the style the Blanco.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Sweetness and silkiness to the palate. The personality is full body in mouth. Its prominent flavors are cooked agave, vanilla and white chocolate in the mouth. The finish is sweet.
