When we first discovered this barrel, we were immediately captivated by its balanced and dynamic flavor. The natural sweetness of the corn bourbon mash has pulled the best characteristics from the expertly charred new American oak. Rich and nutty toffee with smooth caramel has imbued this spirit with a robust maturity. The rye-heavy mashbill adds a magnificent contrast, exposing drinkers to a concert of flavors that seamlessly dance between sweet, savory, and spicy. The end result is an unquestionably bright spirit—something we more typically associate with a young barrel—but in an unmistakably mature presentation. The depth and complexity of this barrel truly needs to be tasted to be appreciated. 

We have one of these barrels to share with the world, and each bottle is poured from the one barrel, persevering all the uniqueness present in the cask. Bottles will be available for a limited time only. 

While Riverine contains traditional gin botanicals like Juniper, Coriander, and Orris Root, it is not a gin proxy. Rather, it is a nuanced, sophisticated spirit in its own right.

Old Carter is the passion project of “flavor chaser” partners Mark Carter and Sherri Carter, whose beverage industry roots trace back to award-winning careers in the California wine business. In the 18th century, John Shenk, a Swiss Mennonite farmer, settled in Pennsylvania's Blue Mountain Valley. He worked tirelessly and harvested more grains than he could sell locally. Shenk decided to distill the excess grains into whiskey, establishing Michter's, the first distilling company in the United States. Prohibition in 1919 led to the closure of Michter's and other distilleries. In the early 1990s, Joseph J. Magliocco and Richard Newman revived the brand, focusing on creating exceptional whiskey. Michter's US*1 Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey is crafted from plump rye grains, fermented, distilled, and aged in charred American oak barrels. The heat-cycled warehousing process enhances the mingling of whiskey and wood, resulting in marmalade and light caramel notes.

Michter's Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is the limited, overproof version of their Single Barrel Rye, with a bold aroma of butterscotch, golden raisins, and vanilla. The palate offers flavors of morning toast, maple syrup, and fresh fruit, followed by a spicy finish with hints of mint, cinnamon, and honey.

The blackberry, an edible fruit from the common bramble, grows spontaneously throughout Europe and many regions of the world, but Mexico is the world's leading producer. Used in naturopathy and sometimes as a tincture, the blackberry is widely used in food, jam, jelly or dessert. Its use in the manufacture of drinks, liqueurs or syrups is mentioned in the London Pharmacopoeia as early as 1696.

Reposado has a light golden color tone. Maturation process of 6 to 8 months in Jack Daniels Whiskey barrels with a light toast. A mixture of herbal notes and spices (pepper, woody), slightly sweet, smooth on the palate. A slightly unctuous body with a herbal finish and cooked agave.

Celebrating 150 years of passion for cra­fting quality whisky, CASCADE MOON EDITION NO. 2 continues to set the tone for the future of the whisky category while looking toward the next 150 years. Further tying back to George Dickel’s history, the liquid for this second release was taken from a small batch blend curated around the first barrel of TN Whisky  filled a­fter the distillery returned from shutdown in 2003. This small batch blend used less than 20 barrels, holding some of our best whiskies aged at least 17 years that are befitting a celebration of a 150 year heritage.

Our Volans ultra premium Blanco tequila is unaged, our Volans ultra premium single barrel reposado is aged for under a year, and our extra añejo is aged for three and a half years in used American oak bourbon casks.
