Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut

Santa Margherita

750 ml | 11.5% ABV
Prosecco

Santa Margherita grows luscious, aromatic, Glera grapes in the gentle hills of Valdobbiadene. Just north of Venice, this town is synonymous with the finest Prosecco Superiore and DOCG status – the highest and most distinctive classification possible. Our early development and investment in Conegliano-Valdobbiadene began in 1952, when Gaetano Marzotto fell in love with sparkling Prosecco and the enchanting area where it is made. He immediately recognized the wine’s potential. It is a love story that is more passionate today than ever before, and it has led Santa Margherita to become one of the top producers of this exceptional wine, and for Prosecco to become one of the most famous and highly regarded sparkling wines in the world. These early efforts not only established a benchmark of quality and provenance, just as we did with Pinot Grigio, but inspired this winemaking method in the early 1950’s, years before the “Prosecco phenomenon.”

This bubbly favorite creates a celebration whenever it is enjoyed and is the ideal accompaniment to a lively dinner. Its aroma, freshness, and vibrancy make it a treasure that you will want to share again and again. Prosecco Superiore makes any gathering a memorable occasion.

Tasting Notes
This sparkling wine has fine, lively bubbles that dance within its bright straw-yellow color and greenish reflections. Its lovely aromas include ripe pineapples, peaches, and Rennet apples as well as delicate florals. Its finish is bright and dry, yet sweet on the palate.

Pairing Notes
Perfect as an apéritif, this celebrated bubbly pairs well with seafood or cheese appetizers. It also adds flavorful sparkle to brunch classics or your favorite rich dessert. Even rich, creamy dishes such as pasta carbonara, fried favorites like calamari, or even grilled filet of beef will not overwhelm its vivaciousness.

The details make the difference
Luscious and aromatic, our Glera grapes are meticulously hand-harvested. This area has some of the steepest hills in Italy, which benefit the grapes with better drainage and sun exposure. Being so high above sea level also creates cool nights and warm days, which these grapes love. After hand-harvesting, we turn them into a cuvée (base wine) that is fermented with selected yeasts at precisely controlled temperatures to preserve full, complex flavor. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is matured for three more months, allowing the full aromatic potential and vibrant taste of our Prosecco to converge.

Speyburn Bradan Orach Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Speyburn

750 ml | 40% ABV
Whiskey | Scotch

Nearby the River Spey, nestled in a valley at the Northern end of Rothes, sits the Speyburn distillery. In the signature pagodad style of Charles Doig, this distillery is one of the most photographed distilleries in Scotland. Speyburn, named after the River Spey, was founded in 1897,by John and Edward Hopkins, two local men with an interest in the industry. That year, which also happened to be Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, seemed the most opportune moment to debut the Speyburn whisky. The first batch was produced just in time for the Queen's Jubilee, and was a great success. The distillery was initially run by the Speyburn-Glenlivet company, who managed operations until 1916 when the distillery was acquired by Distillers Company Limited. Production ceased for a period of time from 1930 to 1934, and again in 1939 for 8 years straight due to WWII. Speyburn has also lived through a series of acquisitions but continued to stay in production. There's an instrumental key to Speyburn whiskies; the water. The water sourced for production comes from two local Burns, Broad and Granty, and it is the only distillery in Scotland to source its water from the Granty burn. Despite having only one wash and one spirit still, Speyburn produces an impressive 1.8 million liters a year. They source lightly seated malt for their recipe but used their own drum maltings until 1968. Speyburn was once known for having the longest fermentation time in the industry. Now shortened to a still lengthy 70 hours (one week), this method imparts a special character to the Speyburn whiskies. Another key factor in the distinct flavor profiles of their whiskies is largely due to a large amount of copper exposure in the stills. This exposure yields a strong fruity profile to the new make spirit. The whisky is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, that are stored in tall warehouses. This type of maturation also imparts an extra level of flavor to the Whisky. Bradan Orach is Gaelic meaning Golden Salmon, which many consider to be the best kind of salmon. This Speyburn expression has no age statement, you can expect sweet notes of orchard fruits, citrus, vanilla, and wood.

Tanduay

750 ml | 25% ABV
Rum

Tanduay has been crafting Asian rum since 1854, bringing a mysterious Eastern twist to the spirit. Headquartered in the Philippines, its origins go back to a distillery from Hagonoy, Bulacan, that was bought in 1856 by Ynchausti y Compaia, a multi-national company that was owned by the Ynchausti family, the seal of which still decorates their bottles today. By the 1900s the production had moved to the Manila distillery, and the brand Tanduay Rhum was formed, named after the area in which the distillery was located. The rum was produced in the significantly upgraded distillery in Manila until 2013, when it was decommissioned and the production moved to a much larger facility in the Philippines, capable of producing 100,000 cases each day. YellowStone Limited Edition Finished in Marsala Superiore Cask 2022 Bourbon Whiskey

Yellowstone

750 ml | 50.5% ABV
Whiskey | Bourbon

Yellowstone National Park was established in 1876, and just a few short years later, the Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey brand would emerge with an equally-rich story. J.B. Dant, legendary distiller and son of J.W. Dant, first began distilling in the late 1800s, using a "log still" instead of the more popular yet more expensive copper pot stills (a log still is made by hollowing out a tree trunk and lining the interior with copper pipes, a cheaper yet still effective way of distilling). As Dant's Yellowstone brand gained popularity in Kentucky, he was able to purchase other nearby distilleries and formalize his process. In the early 1900s, it was through this expansion that Dant began working more closely with M.C. Beam of the illustrious Beam family. Together, Dant and Beam operated their network of facilities as the Yellowstone Distillery and continued to produce Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for "medicinal purposes" throughout Prohibition. Although the Yellowstone brand changed hands several times throughout the 20th century (first to Diageo and recently to Luxco) and eventually fell out of favor, Luxco, along with the Beam family's new Limestone Branch Distillery, has recently revitalized the brand, unearthing an old Beam family recipe and partnering with Paul and Steve Beam to create a spectacular bourbon that pays homage to the original. The annual Limited Edition series of straight bourbons from Yellowstone has been around since 2015. The blended bourbons are on the experimental side, having been aged in (sometimes re-charred, even multiple times) wine casks, resulting in unique expressions. The 2022 edition is a 7-year-old small-batch affair that was finished in French armagnac casks, imparting the bold, oaky, and sweet bourbon with toffee, butterscotch, and chocolate notes.
