2 lemon wedges
2 oz (60 ml) George Dickel Rye
7 ml Cynar
20g kumquat syrup

First, use a brůlée torch to char the lemons. You can use a cast-iron skillet at home to char either side of the lemon. Once they are charred, remove them with a pair of tongs and let cool for a moment.
Once cool, muddle 2 charred lemons with all the ingredients in a shaker. Shake and double strain into a coupe. Enjoy.

Nose: Intense aromas of sea air, toasted rye bread and caramel.

Palate: Rich and mellow with initial impressions of salted caramel, cereal and a touch of honey. Persistent with delicate notes of toasted bread, white pepper and fudge. Mouthfeel is rich, well rounded and luscious.

Finish: Long and salty/sweet. Notes of baked bread, sea salt and caramel.

Cava de Oro tequila is made from 100% agave in the Jalisco region of Mexico. The Anejo has a pleasant, smooth mouthfeel with notes of honey, black pepper, and oak on the nose. A lovely long finish reveals the advantages of aging the spirit, allowing the herbaceous agave flavor to give way to juicy red fruits and cinnamon. 24 months of rest in French white oak barrels give our Añejo the perfect touch between its silky texture and long, slightly sweet finish.

A rosé wine characterised by a light and delicate freshness. Guaranteed to be likeable given the altitude of the vineyards from which the grapes come, with their strong acidity and alcohol content which is not too high. Brief maceration contributes to its crunchiness and fresh fragrance.

A rosè wine which is intense and persistent. The bouquet has delicate fruit notes which recall plums and raspberries; hints of a more well developed jam and citrus follow and then on the finish, distant hints of flint. On the palate, good complexity and structure with a characteristically bitter final note.

TASTING NOTES 

Nose: Cherry sawdust, warm pine pitch and marsh grass. A nose that is light and sunny. Closer to warm lakeside days than cold forest nights. The aroma hits with high summer energy and optimism making it unique compared to other McCarthys expressions.

Palate: Light and juicy with a good deal of burned sugar and citrus. Back flavors of salt brine and sea spray make this the whiskey version of camping on the Oregon coast. To others it’s as comforting as early morning diners and French toast with coffee. The addition of an ice cube exposes the whiskey’s sweeter tones. With a baseline of sarsaparilla root and chicory, the higher tones of toasted cereal grain, orange peel and maple syrup definitely shine.

Founded in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, IL in 2011, Few Spirits is a grain-to-glass distillery that crafts award-winning whiskey and gin, while constantly innovating and experimenting in order to bring surprising flavors to the discerning drinker. Evanston held the 1893 World's Fair, where the US was introduced to several modern inventions. The town was also known as the seat of Prohibition and would remain a dry community long after Prohibition was repealed in 1933. These 2 events became the inspiration that fueled the distiller Paul Hletko's vision of creating Few Spirits, the first legal distillery ever to craft spirits in Evanston. The ever-creative Hletko has always loved making new things, whether as an engineer, lawyer, or musician. "At the end of the day, I like to have created something that didnt exist that morning and offers something completely different," says Hletko of the passion that drove him to open the distillery. With it he focused on creating urban whiskey that could rival that of his Kentucky friends with humble beginnings in an old chop shop. Now he crafts artisanal small-batch spirits using locally-sourced grains, ages them in American oak barrels and bottles on-site into US-made glass bottles. Hletko was named Distiller of the Year in 2018's edition of the Gin Magazine's "Icons of Gin" feature. The Few Immortal Rye expression is based on their award-winning grain-to-glass Straight Rye Whiskey that is aged in air-dried oak barrels. Born in Austin, Deep Eddy Vodka is handcrafted in small batches at our Texas distillery using only premium ingredients.

For over four generations Gonzlez family has been perfecting the tequila-making craft. To this day, they incorporate age-old processes and values handed down for generations. El Mayor represents a legacy of Tequila. Rodolfo Gonzlez is a very hands on Master Distiller. Passionately overseeing the entire process from field to bottle, and ensuring every drop that leaves his distillery is nothing short of perfection. Rodolfo's son Paul and daughter Graciela represent the fourth generation of Gonzlez distillers and continuation of the family legacy. El Mayor tequilas are handcrafted in the fertile, rocky soils of Jalisco Mexico using Weber Blue Agave. Once harvested their hand-selected agave is chopped stacked and cooked in autoclaves, before the cooked agave is shredded and gently pressed to extract the full agave flavor. After being fermented with a proprietary, family owned yeast strain, the agave juice is double distilled in copper lined pots. El Mayor Reposado is distilled from 100% Blue Agave and aged in white oak barrels for nine months (seven months longer than the industry standard). It's lengthy stay in these barrels gives the spirit an elegantly structured and balanced taste with a remarkably smooth finish.
