Color: Deep amber color with golden and orange hues, great body.

Nose/Aroma: The first impression has intense notes like burned vanilla, tobacco, nuts, coffee and maple, developed in aging in the American oak barrel. The sweet cooked agave aroma, dry fruit like peach, apricot and cherry, rose petals integrate the personality of 4 copas Añejo. Harmonious and elegant.

Taste/Mouthfeel: In the mouth it is sweet and soft.  Flavors present are burned vanilla, tobacco, nuts, maple and cooked agave. The mouthfeel is intense. The after taste is sweet.

The Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. This whisky matured in Barrels from Islay, soaked with smoky aromas and salted flavors, then blended with ex-bourbon barrel-aged single malt that was left to mature under the hot Tel Aviv sun. The Elements Peated integrates the fruity notes of the new make into the barrel’s typical Islay Peaty notes; the result is delicate, rather mellow, and lightly peated whisky.

TASTING NOTES

Kaiyo is a Japanese Mizunara oak aged whisky. What makes this spirit so special is the bespoke oak barrel selection. Mizunara oak is some of the most expensive wood available. The impeccable character of the wood imparts distinctive notes onto every spirit. However, its delicate wood grain nature makes it quite challenging to cooper. Kaiyo whisky is aged in handmade, bespoke Mizunara oak casks. These barrels are crafted from slow growth, air-seasoned wood from hand-selected trees. After the whisky is aged, it is finished at sea, imparting even more distinctive character the spirit. This unique sea voyage departs from Osaka Japan, and the journey can take up to 3 months.
