Beam Suntory, Inc. is a subsidiary of Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd, which itself is a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan. Its headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois. It is the third largest producer of distilled beverages worldwide behind Diageo and Pernod Ricard.

The Featherbone Factory built by E.K. Warren in the 19th century to manufacture women's corsets sits on the banks of Lake Michigan just across the Indiana border in Three Oaks, Michigan. As the factory changed hands in the twentieth century, it became a production site for everything from buggy whips to pickles. Today, it's home to Journeyman Distillery and Bill Welter, Journeyman's master distiller. Welter, who was formerly a banker in Indiana, began his Journey when his family business was sold in 2006. He moved to Scotland, where he began to learn the art of craft distillation from Greg Ramsay (master distiller at Nant Distillery) and Bill Lark (master distiller at Lark Distillery). After returning to the United States, Welter spent time producing and resting whiskey using a prominent organic & kosher distiller's facility in Chicago before opening the doors of his own distillery in Three Oaks with the intention to offer grain-to-glass spirits from day one/drop one. Last Feather Rye is made by distilling a mash of 60 percent organic rye and 40 percent organic wheat through a 5000-liter, copper pot still imported from Germany. The organic rye and wheat are produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, artificial pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, growth hormones, feed additives, or genetically modified organisms and enable Journeyman Distillery and all of its products to be certified organic by the Midwest Organic Services Association. Following distillation, the rye ages to profile in newly charred American oak casks. Using multiple size barrels, each distillation is tailored to the barrel it will age in and bottled once it has reached the desired taste profile. Journeyman Last Feather Rye has notes of ripe banana on the nose, spice and pepper of rye well balanced with the sweetness of wheat, fruit notes and a clean/dry finish - easy drinking.

Each year, only the most outstanding small lots of Zinfandel are isolated from the many produced at Michael David to bottle under Lust. Lust is comprised of the best Zinfandel that Lodi has to offer; cherry picked right off the vine to create one sexy, showy and seductive wine. This limited production vintage possesses all the qualities expected from a luxury Zinfandel...Smooth to the core and leaves nothing to be desired.

TASTING NOTES

Seductive as its name, 2020 Lust Zinfandel is a dark ruby red beauty exuding seductive aromas of raspberry, violet, honey, almond and vanilla. Lush, sultry offerings of plum, caramel, clove and cacao are rounded out with delicate spice notes and an alluring, dark chocolate finish.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Its opening bouquet is snappy, fresh, ashy and a touch smoky; pleasant agave notes emerge upon air contact. I nice bouquet of flowery aromas such as jasmine and rose which turn into rosemary, thyme and a hint of mint.

Palate: On the palate, the taste is fresh, pleasing, appropriately zesty, peppery and vegetal, with a hint of sugary sweetness at mid-palate. You have some solid minerality with some peppery yet subtle floral notes.

Built in 1900 by order of the Tsar, Latvijas Balsams in the Baltic city of Riga, Latvia is a magnificent cathedral to vodka. Owned by the S.P.I. Group, owners of Stolichnaya, this is where Russian Stolichnaya vodka has been bottled for over 66 years (since 1948). It is also home to Riga Black Balsam, a traditional Latvian vodka-based herbal liqueur.

Following the defeat of the British at the Battle of Yorktown during the American Revolutionary War, the territory west of the Appalachian mountains became known as Kentucky County. At the time, the territory was considered part of Virginia, and was overseen by a military governor namedJohn J. Bowman. In order to encourage westward expansion, Virginia issued pioneers who agreed to settle in Kentucky County "corn writs," which granted the pioneers 60 acres of land if they agreed to settle in Kentucky and start farming corn. One year after the defeat of the British, a Baptist minister namedElijah Craigemigrated to Fayette County (today, a part of the State of Kentucky) and purchased 1,000 acres of land in a town named Lebanon. In 1789, Craig built a distillery on his farm and is credited with being the first person to mature bourbon in charred, oak casks, earning him the title "Father of Bourbon Whiskey." Ruinart Blanc de Blancs includes some 25–30 different chardonnay crus, predominantly from the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, the Sézannais and La Vallée de la Vesle. They reflect the rich diversity of the Champagne terroir.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Visually, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has a brilliant robe with a beautiful pale yellow color and slight hints of almond green and jade green reflections.

We use only the finest high quality distilling grains. Our mash bill consists of the finest barley and malted barley, which gives Irish whiskey its unique and distinctive character. We use a variety of mash bills and complete the minimum 3 year aging process in bourbon casks. We then create a variety of distillates using unique secondary cask finishing.

Our whiskey is triple-distilled in handmade copper pot stills, uniquely designed for maximum vapor and copper interaction. Our Fighting 69th Irish whiskey is a unique and superb blend of three distinct distillates, which undergo separate finishing processes. We then choose which finishes, in the right proportions, create the optimal blend.

All of our whiskies are matured in once used bourbon casks for a minimum of 3 years. We then secondarily finish our whiskies in a variety of other casks, including Single-Char casks, Double-Char casks, Oloroso Sherry casks, Rum casks, and Port casks. This uniquely finished blend results in a fine distillate that is both of robust character and a full smooth finish, a fitting tribute to the Fighting 69th Regiment!
