Loch Gorm is the name given to our annual sherry matured limited edition.  Named after Islay’s largest freshwater loch neighbouring the distillery, the dark murky colour of the loch’s water is reflected in the rich coppery tones of our sherry matured Loch Gorm release.

For the 2023 Edition Anthony and Robin selected a total of 22 casks, 8 distilled in 2013, 6 distilled in 2014, and 8 distilled in 2015.

NOSE: Hints of cacao with an essence of leather, black cherry and light smoke.

PALATE: Roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate and roasted dark fruits give way to light ashy peat smoke.

FINISH: Balanced and long with fresh Islay sea breeze.

OLOROSO SHERRY CASKS

Loch Gorm is exclusively matured in oloroso sherry casks from the renowned bodega, Jose Miguel Martin. It is common for distilleries to use a variety of sherry producers but for our consistent quality and character, it is vital that we source them all from just one bodega. We select a combination of sherry butts and hogsheads from Jose Miguel Martin that provides two separate styles of maturation.

These ex-oloroso sherry casks impart a combination of heavy sherry notes, spicy dark chocolate, rich fruits and burnt sugar. This balances beautifully with the Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus fruits found within our farm crafted spirit.

Doña Vega is founded and produced by Mexican women who set out to make mezcal more accessible and approachable. For two years, through 73 recipes, 22 farms, and too many tastings to count, the Doña Vega team accomplished their goal of creating two exquisite varieties of mezcal. 

Doña Vega is produced in a small town outside Oaxaca – Santiago Matatlán by a family who has passed down the tradition for five generations.

Espadín is chosen for the large majority of all mezcal production in Mexico, however, Espadin Capon is quite rare. Doña Vega harvests the agave plant several years after it has ripened giving the final distillate a natural sweetness which is incomparable to other mezcals.

Hand-selected, handcrafted, and distilled to proof, our Doña Vega Espadín offers a mysterious and delicious drinking experience. Light smoke with undertones of fruit and a white pepper finish, yet remarkably smooth. Doña Vega Espadín is the perfect addition to any cocktail or perfect on its own.

An extraordinary Tequila Aejo, it has a golden amber color, offers a warm flavor with hints of vanilla. Definitely an excellent tequila enjoyed by neat or on the rocks.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Medium oak wood, vanilla and raisins with faint hint of citrus.

Palate: Smooth and sweet. Distinct oak wood complemented by vanilla, raisins and honey, with a hint of melon.

Finish: Caramel and smoky notes.

Aged in French white oak barrels this tequila has balanced floral notes with flavors of sweet cooked agave and toasted oak.

Nose: Aromas of crisp mint, earth, vanilla, and orange flower followed by the grassy sweetness of agave.

Palate: Honey notes on the palate with hints of baking spice and smokiness.

A relative newcomer in the agave spirits world, Avilas have been produced exclusively in Morelos, Mexico for the past 30 years using the unique production method of both smoking and steaming the agave piñas.

Tasting Notes

Nose Peppery heat on the nose.

Palate: Subtle cooked agave taste and hints of citrusy sweetness.

Finish: Fairly long finish.

The majority of the fruit for the Sonoma County Chardonnay was sourced from the Russian River Valley, renowned for its excellent Chardonnay. The 2016 vintage had an early dry spring, followed by a long mild summer which gave the vineyards time to slowly mature the fruit to the peak of flavor, allowing our Chardonnay to develop excellent structure and crisp acidity.

In the central valleys of Oaxaca, Mexico, Maestro Alberto Morales a fifth-generation jomezcalero is hard at work managing his family's five stills. The village of San Dionisio, which the Morales' have called home for nearly 150 years, was founded in 1610 and has sat at the epicenter of mezcal country throughout the spirit's existence. Morales, who uses sustainable farming techniques (Wahaka Mezcal is certified organic by the USDA) and traditional production methods, describes his palenque as "a place of respect and harmony, where no arguments or even bad words can be uttered." The Morales' take great pride in the craft of mezcal production, and oversee the entire process from harvest to market.After expert jimadors select espadn agave at the peak of ripeness, the Morales' roast them in earthen pits, which gives the mezcal its signature, smoky flavor. The agave is then crushed using a traditional millstone and distilled by Morales himself. Made using 100% agave, Wahaka Joven Espadn has a slightly sweet finish that belies the smoky, charred flavor of the roasted agave.Incredibly approachable, Wahaka Joven Espadnis Morales' signature mezcal, and won the Silver Medal at the 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the 2011 New York International Spirits Competition. Rustic and refined, Don Amado Arroqueño is made from an enormous maguey species that requires 18 years to mature but is cultivatable, so ecologically sustainable while simultaneously wildly exotic and delicious.

Bright floral aromatics of caramelized maguey, leather and soft smoke lend structure to ripe, cooked yam fruit flavors. A supple mouthfeel delivers quince, persimmon, lemon verbena and kaffir, juxtaposed with layered chocolate, espresso and savory spice with balanced minerality and savory roast characteristics.

• Halved & quartered (cogollo removed) agave earthen roasted for four days using mix of guamúchil and mesquite wood

• Fermented together with bagaso in 1,400L pine wood vats using airborne yeast strains

Tanglin's Double Gold Winner

Black Powder Gin, our Navy Strength Gin, is a punchy 58% ABV making it an ideal Cocktail Gin, but still super smooth for sipping. Navy Strength Gin has to be above 57%ABV, the strength at which Gin drenched gunpowder still ignites when lit.
