This is the result of sixteen years spent in bourbon barrels, and the first general release of an aged expression of this magnitude. Hand-bottled at connacht’s distillery in the rugged west of ireland, ballyhoo irish whiskey embodies the best of the word’s meaning: an exclamation of triumph over the rival team; a rallying cry between lifelong friends; a toast to a difficult journey or a hard-fought victory.

Ballyhoo begins as a sourced irish whiskey with a mash bill of 93% corn imported from france and 7% malted barley that we bring to our distillery to further age and finish in used port barrels from portugal. this second step softens the grain whiskey and rounds out the flavour into an easy sipper. we do not add artificial colour or caramel, so the product remains quite light in appearance, but with some reddish undertones from the port.

Tasting Notes

First Aromas: The nose is light and soft with gentle vanilla and almond mixing with some warming spice and sweetness.

On the palate: Notes of vanilla with some hints of spice and subtle wood from the bourbon casks, the additional port finishing adds a smoothness to the whiskey.

The finish: It lingers long, warm and ever so smooth.

Exceptionally refined & smooth, uniting floral notes with hints of banana & vanilla. Enjoy this ultra premium sake slightly chilled. TYKU Junmai Daiginjo Sake utilizes Yamada Nishiki the best sake rice in the world and is polished so only 40% of the grain remains.

The 2015 Oceana Chablis presents as a delicate, pale yellow in color. You are immediately drawn into the glass as notes of lime and wet stone with hints of chalk and citrus blossom greet you on the nose. Emancipation, a California produced Rhne varietal blend, challenges the norms and intrigues from the first sip by bringing together Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre with Petite Sirah. This wine is smooth, bright and juicy, yet delicate and refined. Bright red cherry on the front of the palate leads to a briary herbaceous quality on the finish. This blend is palate coating, with a long, lingering finish and structure to pair well with rich foods.

The 2015 Confession Red Wine is dark, dense and immediately intriguing in the glass. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and grown in St Helena and Rutherford, you are greeted by blue and black fruits, a dusty, herbaceous quality and a hint of ginger-molasses cookie on the nose. The well integrated new French Oak is nicely balanced with fruit, and it supports the richness of the wine, while framing and balancing the dense palate. This mouth-coating, juicy blend entices with notes of dried mission fig, star anise, and blackberry.

Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is rich, dense, dark, powerful and velvety. With black cherry, boysenberry and a hint of dustiness, the nose is reminiscent of walking through a raspberry patch. This wine has good intensity and intrigue coming out of the glass, and the palate follows the nose. With a very full entry, this medium bodied wine has a round and supple mid-palate and lingering fruit notes on the finish.
