Long before the tequila had a name, country music icon George Strait had been drinking this private tequila for years. He even wrote a song about it.  George Strait is offering this very limited edition bottle of his new Código 1530 Rosa-Reposado Tequila for his fans to enjoy.

Código 1530, the first brand to produce a naturally pink-hued tequila by resting their pure Blanco expression in the finest French white oak Cabernet wine barrels, created Código 1530 Tequila Rosa Blanco. Rosa-Reposado is a special edition twist to that original.  

This Limited Edition Código 1530 Rosa-Reposado tequila started its aging process in the finest French white oak Cabernet wine barrels, then finished in Spanish Sherry wine barrels to add extra character and a soft, sweet finish. 

A super premium, small batch spirit that is carefully crafted with a commitment to environmental sustainability and support for the local community, Mijenta’s Reposado is aged up to six months in a blend of American white oak, French oak and French acacia casks. As with Mijenta’s Blanco, Mexico-based Maestra Tequilera Ana Maria Romero oversaw the entire creation process of the Reposado. Presenting a more mature and fuller expression with a long finish on the palate, the Reposado is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a nightcap cocktail, such as an Old Fashioned. It pairs well with dry fruit, soft cheeses, game meat, as well as flavorful Asian dishes. For dessert, Reposado is best savored with vanilla flavors, coconut and semi-bitter chocolate.

Master distiller Antonio Salles and the Sassenach spirits founder Sam heughan joined forces to create a small-batch limited-edition aged tequila. The Sassenach Select is a double wood reposado that is handcrafted using the finest matured agave from the highlands of Jalisco and mineral-rich water from volcan de tequila, distilled in traditional copper pot stills, aged for two years in American oak barrels, and finished for four months in French oak barrels. These attributes form the foundation of the Sassenach Select's unique character and exceptional, unparalleled taste.

The Sassenach Select marks the first-ever joint venture between the acclaimed teams at El Tequileño and The Sassenach Spirits. During several trips to Mexico, Antonio "Tony" Salles and the Scottish actor and spirits aficionado Sam Heughan joined forces. Salles reveals that the inception of this unique blend began with their shared appreciation for The Sassenach whisky. Despite the geographical distance, they merged their respective cultures and unwavering commitment to creating exceptional spirits, all with the aim of doing justice to this innovative creation.

To breathe life into this expression, they began with an award-winning foundation. Salles shares his inspiration from learning about the meticulous process behind The Sassenach whisky and immersing himself in Scottish tales. "The Scottish and Mexican cultures bear striking similarities," notes Salles. "Both hold tremendous pride in their nations, boast deep-rooted histories, and, of course, possess an immense passion for producing their iconic spirits." The Sassenach Select is meticulously handcrafted using the finest matured agave sourced from the Highlands of Jalisco, complemented by mineral-rich water from El Volcán de Tequila. Distilled in traditional copper pot stills, it undergoes a two-year aging process in American oak barrels, culminating with a finishing period in French oak barrels. The outcome is an extraordinary blend that showcases bold and distinctive flavor profiles.

Patron Reposado is aged for at least two months in a combination of new and used American, French and Hungarian oak barrels. This is done to maintain the fresh agave flavors unique to Patron that mingle in perfect harmony with hints of light oak. Finally, subtle sweet smokiness from the aging process adds yet another dimension to this incredibly smooth aged tequila.
Sip Patron Reposado neat or mix it into the occasional cocktail. Margaritas, Manhattans, Old Fashioneds and more are enhanced with the unique flavors in the gently aged spirit. It also makes a great digestif.

Using local and naturally sourced water, our 5 tank and twice distilled process yields a bright and rounded sipping tequila at every third. Natural sweet agave and vanilla shine through on both the nose and palate. 40% ABV.

A beautifully complex Reposado that continues to open up the more you let it sit. Aromas of light spice, floral, and cinnamon blend well with its slightly sweet, caramelized agave taste

With slightly smokey tastes of butterscotch, oak and pepper, our Reposado is perfectly smooth while maintaining the clear presence of cooked agave. This artfully blended Tequila, with careful amounts of our Añejo added, can be aged up to five times longer than industry standards, and at least twice as long as products similar to ours. There is no predetermined length of aging, as the entire Becherano Family Tasting Council must unanimously decide when the Reposado is good enough to carry the name Cantera Negra. Given the range in length of aging, our Reposado may vary in color between batches. We ensure a consistent flavor and taste with precise blending. While all of our Tequilas are meant for sipping, the Reposado’s pronounced oak presence makes it our favorite for mixing into cocktails.
