First of its kind, El Carbonzado is a testament to  legendary taste, superior smoothness, and handmade traditional craft. Using 100% premium Blue Weber Agave, we age our blanco tequila in new French oak barrels, enriching this tequila with notes of vanilla, caramel, toffee and oak, while clarifying this juice to a succulent smooth finish.

We then do the unthinkable and double barrel rest this liquid gold in premium medium char american oak casks previously used to house one of the worlds highest rated Irish Whiskies.

The results from this whisky barrel adds a beautiful bounty of sweet cream, herb and spice, while enhancing a subtle smoky and savory oak. The taste is smooth, yet unbelievably unique pleasing both tequila and whisky drinkers alike. 

Taste Profile

Sit back. Relax. Sip it slowly. This is a very special tequila made to be savored.

We only use the most mature and sweetest Blue Weber Agave, matched with a blend of spring, rain and deep well water (+450 feet). Our Agaves are then cooked in a traditional stone oven for 22 hours and crushed by an innovative handmade tahona named “Frankenstein.” We use copper pot stills for both distillations. Our Volans ultra premium Blanco tequila is unaged, our Volans ultra premium single barrel reposado is aged for under a year, and our extra añejo is aged for three and a half years in used American oak bourbon casks. Volans Extra Añejo is a limited edition tequila aged for over 3 1/2 years in used American White Oak Barrels. The color is lighter than normal extra añejos due to the age of our barrels (20+ years). Although light in color, it shows every bit of character you want in an extra añejo, including agave.

Tasting Notes

A delicious taste of smooth and complex with a distinct and traditional taste. Aged for 55-58 months in French oak barrels with a medium to heavy internal burn of the barrels and blended to perfection. Smooth. Complex. Traditional.

Don Vicente Extra Añejo is aged for at least 3 years in used American White Oak Bourbon barrels. It packs an explosion of aromas & flavors. The cooked Blue Weber Agave is still present at the center of this Extra Añejo, with hints of oak, fruit, caramel, and butterscotch around it. The oxygenation keeps all the flavors very well balanced, preventing any flavor from overtaking the other.

Komos XO is the most exclusive addition to the highest-rated tequila collection. Produced as a single batch, it is the first of its kind and of extraordinary origin.

FINEST & RAREST TEQUILA
The foundation of Komos XO is elemental: handmade, double pot-distilled tequila. The agave is hand-harvested from both the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco to increase the complexity of the blanco tequila base. Through an exacting and complex aging process, our tequila is then aged in American oak bourbon barrels and French oak red and white wine barrels. Throughout this process, only the very best barrels are selected. Each barrel is completely unique, and individually assessed over time, with the youngest barrels aging for a minimum of three years and the oldest aging for up to 11 years. At the exact right moment, we take the tequila out of the barrels and transfer it to Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. These casks are specifically selected to highlight the beauty created thus far while also building upon it further, thereby creating deeper flavor and refinement. The result is a varied and beautiful tapestry that only the finest craftsmanship can achieve.
