Egan's Legacy Reserve 17 Year Old Irish Whiskey
Egan's Legacy Reserve series welcomes its third installment! Continuing the tradition of its predecessors, this Irish single malt whiskey has been matured with a final aging period in French wine barrels. For this release, the type of wine used for finishing has been changed. While Legacy Reserve II was aged in Banyuls casks, Legacy Reserve III has undergone a finishing period in barrels previously used for Cadillac wine, a dessert wine akin to Sauternes. Legacy Reserve III presents a bouquet rich with aromas of honey, acacia, honeysuckle, vanilla, apricot, and orange that envelop the senses. On the palate, one can expect flavors of baked peaches, pears, apricot, honey, and delicate hints of buttery pastry.
