Rebel Yell American Whiskey
The original Rebel Yell recipe dates back to 1849, created at what later became the Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Known for using wheat instead of rye, it offers a smoother flavor. In 1936, the brand was officially registered by former Louisville Mayor Charles F. Farnsley. After the distillery closed in the 1980s, Rebel Yell transitioned to LUXCO Spirited Brands. Now available nationwide, Rebel Yell American Whiskey blends bourbon and rye for a rich aroma of oak, caramel, leather, and red fruits, followed by a palate of sweet plums, raspberries, wheat, and rye, finishing with oak and chocolate notes.
