MEET MR. PICKLES
Mr Pickles is named after Master Distiller Ben Green’s pit bull rescue. One of them makes great gin. They both like belly rubs. We set out to make the best gin in the world, name it after the ‘goodest’ boy in the world, and then put his picture on the label. Don’t you just love when a plan comes together? 

TRIPLE-DISTILLED, BECAUSE DOUBLE-DISTILLED IS JUST LAZY
Have you ever tasted something so good it makes you a little annoyed? Like, why hasn’t this been in my mouth before? If you asked our distiller to describe the taste he might say Mr. Pickles is born from 100% soft, white winter wheat, mono-sourced just down the road at the Camas Country Mill.

The exceptionally soft base spirit is triple distilled with the final distillation including a vapor basket to introduce the botanicals. It leads with the same enlivening juniper notes you might encounter on a hike to majestic Mount Hood, which are quickly softened by 11 other botanicals, including sencha green tea, blood orange, pink peppercorns, and marshmallow root, revealing an approachable, aromatic, and sweet spirit reminiscent of Cascade Mountains meadows.

In years long passed, distillery workers would help themselves to a dram using a ‘copper dog’; a pipe hidden inside the leg of their trousers. These rascals are the inspiration for this unique blend of no fewer than eight Speyside single malt whiskies, slowly married together in old oak casks for a minimum of three months. Copper Dog Blended Scotch Whiskey is an easy-drinking scotch with ripe fruit aromas and a delicately spicy finish.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: On the nose, fresh fruit and toffee apple; an integration of ripe orchard fruits (apples and pears), berries, and a hint of citrus, layered above a background of sweet wood and creamy vanilla fudge.

PALATE: Fresh and fruity, some malty notes with hints of wood (mainly vanilla) and spice. The balance of wood is equally important; it has allowed these important distillery characters to come to the fore, amplifying their subtlety, whilst giving us creamy vanilla and delicate spice notes and tannins.

Beginning with tequila, buttery peach and lime flavors, this southernly charming cocktail has a refreshingly sweet yet tangy balance.

It finishes with light citrus and fuzzy peach skin. Delicious on the rocks or blended with ice. Chill, pour, enjoy.

Maker Notes

Our Blue Curaçao is not only produced and bottled in Curaçao, but is also the only one that is still made of the peels of the Laraha orange. There are no known facts about the origin of Blue Curaçao, but we like to believe that it is because of the crystal clear blue waters and deep blue skies found in our Caribbean island paradise.

Blue Curaçao is often used in popular drinks like Blue Margarita, Blue Lagoon and Blue Hawaii.

The first thing that will capture your senses when trying our Tamarind Liqueur is the sweet smell. As if the smell is not delicious enough, the taste will melt your heart. It's no wonder that everyone who gets a taste of our Tamarind Liqueur comes back for more.

Celebrating opulence, the XO decanter takes festive inspiration from the 300 years reunion of Centaur and Dragon. A gold and red dragon label sits at its centre and the 300-year collar has dragon scale detailing. The gift box fans open in a display of multi-coloured dragon scales. TASTING NOTES

EYE: Luminous amber patina.

NOSE: Radiance and directness with aromas of candied orange, passion fruit, sandalwood, leather, mixed spices, undergrowth and a hint of floral notes. Rancio notes have retained freshness.

TASTE: Candied fruit, passion fruit, fig, exotic fruits, nuts, descreet oaky notes, elegance & tension, a very long finish.

This exceptional expression with notes of dark cherries and Medjool date has an initial sweetness on the palate, with a nostalgic medley of vanilla, apple and nutmeg. The resplendent red walnut hue is attributed to more than a quarter of a century of maturation in a first fill sherry seasoned European oak butt cask. A single cask of The Macallan Fine & Rare was filled on the 20th of January 1997 and bottled over 26 years later. 1997 THE YEAR THAT WAS
In the annals of Hollywood history, 1997 stands out as a momentous year, marked by record-breaking films and iconic franchises gracing the silver screen. As Hollywood became an adored American export, 1997 marked a historic milestone for The Macallan, with international sales surpassing domestic for the first time, prominently led by the thriving U.S. market. In homage to this transformative year, The Macallan proudly presents its 1997 Fine & Rare release, capturing the essence of that landmark year.

THE EXPERIENCE

COLOUR: Resplendent red walnut

NOSE: Rich fruit aromas of dark cherries, Medjool dates and raisins are on the nose, accompanied by warming cinnamon, sticky toffee pudding and aged oak.

PALATE: An initial sweetness on the palate with a nostalgic medley of vanilla, apple and nutmeg gives way to an intense, rich oak with a depth of spice notes, warming aniseed and clove.

FINISH: Long and luxurious with a gentle caress of spices, sweetness and antique oak.

Maker Notes

When speaking of an official Curaçao Liqueur, the liqueur should be made of the dried peels of the “Laraha”, which can only be found on Curaçao. To this day, Senior is the only brand in the world, which does that. The peels of the Laraha are bitter, making the taste contradictory. When tasting the genuine Curaçao liqueur, you taste the bitterness of the orange, but also the sweetness of how a true liqueur should be.

Enjoy Curaçao liqueur straight up, as a cocktail modifier or as a replacement for Triple Sec. Considering that it can make up to 20% of the ingredients in your glass, you’ll notice a big difference if you use the good stuff.

The Botanical Spirit
Norwegian herbs, potatoes and berries fight an intense, slow and never-ending battle in extreme environments. Only the strongest and most stubborn survive. Norwegian ingredients, touched only by nature, form the basis for the raw flavours of Bareksten’s botanical spirits.

In the mighty Norwegian forests where sunlight rarely penetrates. In lonely landscapes inhabited only by the ‘Hulder’ wood nymphs, who live below ground surrounded by the roots of old oaks.
