TASTING NOTES

Carefully crafted in our distillery with a double distillation process in copper stills, this tequila undergoes no aging or maturation process, other than a final period. Visually, we have a completely transparent tequila, with bright tones and silver hues. In aromas, it presents herbal, mineral, and citrus notes, very fresh. All of this manifests the authentic characteristics of a blanco tequila. Its predominant flavor is cooked agave, which can be somewhat sweet because it naturally contains sweet honey notes, but it also retains the distinct flavors of the land where the agave was planted.

These new oak casks had been especially toasted to bring out more vanilla qualities; rippling with notes of ripe peaches, vanilla and coconut, A Tale of Ice Cream takes Glenmorangie’s sweet, fruity flavours to a decadent peak. COLOUR: Bronze

AROMA: A burst of manuka honey, with lemon-flavoured butter candy, baking raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, toffee and a hint of spice. With a splash of water, there is vanilla crème anglaise, a hint of coconut and a suggestion of almond marzipan.

TASTE: The texture is thick, rich and creamy. It is followed by a huge burst of sweet and spicy flavours – brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet and desiccated coconut. Spices warm the palate, with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

1000 Stories Zinfandel is released in batches to reflect a unique mix of grape varieties, vineyards, and bourbon barrels. No two batches are the same. The layered flavors of Zinfandel coupled with our bold barrel ageing method result in notes of cranberries, prunes, Marcona almonds, toffee, oregano and thyme.

Lodi’s historic old-vine Zinfandel sites contribute the largest portion of this blend, along with fruit from Mendocino County and San Luis Obispo. Warm afternoons in Lodi enhance the berry flavors while fruit from the cooler coastal regions bring softer characteristics and balance.

In the bold tradition of 1000 Stories, Batch 91 was aged in French and American oak barrels, then finished in aged bourbon barrels. Our Zinfandel Batch 88 is light to medium bodied with a soft tannin structure and lengthy finish.

The layered flavors of Zinfandel coupled with our bold barrel ageing method result in notes of cranberries, dark cherries, currants, cinnamon, vanilla beans, toffee and dried herbs.
